Another week of quarantine calls for another week of great food trucks. Swing by the Clubhouse this week for dinner “out” with two great new vendors and an old favorite. And this just in: Simply Divine Cupcakes is returning Sunday! Read on ... J’s Lobster Food Truck , Tuesday, April 28, 5-8 p.m.: Check out this authentic New England menu: lobster rolls, blue crab rolls, shrimp rolls, all regular or spicy, drizzled with butter, dressed with shredded lettuce, a dash of Old Bay seasoning and mayo on a toasted bun. (Gluten-free orders served on a bed of lettuce also available.) And, of course, they have lobster, crab or shrimp mac and cheese! Your mouth watering yet? We have been on a roll with the food trucks, and now we have something special for the kids (OK, adults, too): Simply Divine Cupcakes is coming to Eagle Nest on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, May 3! The local family-owned bakery and popular City Market attraction will be at the Clubhouse both days from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Check out Simply Divine’s special Eagle Nest menu of flavors: Boston Crème Pie, Caramel Cappuccino, Caramel Pecan Turtle, Chocolate Raspberry, Cookies and Cream, Double Chocolate, Dutch Apple Crisp, Lemon Cream, Snickerdoodle, and Vanilla Birthday. Here’s something to look forward to this week: Serendipity Mobile Catering, the 2019 winner of the Central Indiana Food Truck Battle, is coming to Eagle Nest! That’s right, the first-place winner for best menu and best overall food truck, will be at our Clubhouse on Tuesday and Saturday (both days 5 to 8 p.m.). Serendipity has an eclectic menu is unlike anything we’ve hosted at the Clubhouse: crab cake minis, Cubanos, elk burger minis, chicken tacos, mac and cheese, all with beans or hand-cut truffle fries and made fresh on the spot. Eagle Nest residents,  We hope everyone is hanging in there with all the social distancing and stay-at-home orders. It's been tiring and depressing, we know, which is why we’re excited to share our food truck lineup for the next two weeks! Mark your calendars for: ·   Wednesday, April 8: Tijuana Flats (lunch, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.). $10 entrees (choice of burrito, two tacos, a rice bowl, big nachos or chopped salad, in choice of beef, chicken or bean). They also will have family-style Taco Kits available with all the toppings. ·   Saturday, April 11: Jet’s Pizza (dinner, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.) $5 personal pizzas (sausage, pepperoni or cheese). Cash only. ·   Thursday, April 16: Bagel Boss (dinner, 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.) $6-$8 for a variety of steamed New York-style bagel sandwiches. Facility updates, closures due to the COVID-19 outbreak

Dear residents, We hope this post finds you and your families doing well despite the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. It’s been a long couple of weeks, we know, but it’s been nice to see more residents out walking and some of the fun sidewalk drawings by kids. As you know, Indiana’s stay-at-home order has been extended until April 20 and Indianapolis’ mandate is until May 1, so as a result please note the following neighborhood updates: Clubhouse rentals: All rentals have been suspended until further notice. We’re hoping to reopen the facility on May 1, but the Board will make that determination based on CDC guidelines at that time. This closure also means all Bridge Club and Euchre Club meetings are canceled until further notice. Playground, tennis and basketball courts: Per guidance of our legal counsel, the playground, basketball court and tennis courts are closed until further notice.
