Board elections soon -- want to run?

A reminder that several board positions are up for re-election this month, and that the Eagle Nest board is accepting nominations for candidates now.

If you are interested in running for the board, please send an email to scottthien@comcast.net and include the following information: your name; address; lot number; current occupation; short bio (a few sentences); your "platform" or reason for running. Your information will be published on this site in order for residents to consider your qualifications.

All you need to do is attend the board's monthly neighborhood association meetings at the clubhouse to help conduct business. The meetings usually last about one to two hours. That's it.

What do you get in return? First, your neighborhood dues are waived for the length of your two-year term. Last year, that was a $390 value! Second, you will have a direct say in neighborhood decision-making and spending. Third, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you serve on one of the Northeastside's oldest, most respected and efficient homeowner associations.

Residents have until June 13 to submit their candidacy to scottthien@comcast.net. Ballots will be available on this site and at the Eagle Nest Clubhouse shortly after that. All ballots must be delivered to the Clubhouse mailbox by June 20. Voting will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

Time is running out -- submit your candidacy today!
