Mark your calendars for Sunday, Aug. 13: It's our annual Neighborhood Pool Party at the Clubhouse, noon to 3 p.m.! Yep, our longtime tradition is right around the corner, a summer bash you don't want to miss. Join us for free, delicious fried chicken and summer sides, courtesy of the Board, resident potluck dishes and desserts, lemonade, bottled water, pop, beer for the adults and tasty summer treats for the kids. From noon to 2:30 p.m., the Board is treating every little Eagle Nester  (OK, adults, too) to a free 8-ounce shaved ice cup from Kona Ice! And here’s the fun part: Everyone can pour on their favorite flavors from a wide range of self-serve choices. Simply show your Pool pass to get your freebie. (One cone per person, please.) Sunday’s forecast looks to be a toasty one, so enjoy those icy treats! Oh, and don't forget our Pool -- the crown jewel of our neighborhood! Our guard staff looks forward to sharing the day with families! We'll be open from noon to 8 p.m.

Pool reopens (Sunday, July 16); daily hours noon to 8 p.m.

Good news!  Our pool is full again, pumps are running and the sun is out — a perfect afternoon for swimming! (The baby pool is closed due to water quality issues, but draining and cleaning is underway.) Regular operating hours resumed, daily noon to 8 p.m. Also, week two of our free neighborhood swim lessons, July 17-21, are still on as scheduled. As always, feel free to reach out to Pool Manager Samantha Burns with questions/suggestions about our facility. Her email is samanthaburns51@gmail.com . The Eagle Nest Board

Pool closed for water clarity issues until further notice

If you’ve been to the Pool this week, you probably noticed the increasingly cloudy, green water. The cause? Our aging Pool system simply isn’t providing adequate chemical circulation, creating visibility issues for our guard staff. Even replacing one of our three pumps recently hasn’t helped. As a result, effective immediately the Board has closed the Pool until further notice. We are actively working to partially drain the Pool, refill it and rebalance the chemicals as quickly as possible. Barring unexpected complications, we hope to reopen by Friday, so watch our usual communications channels for updates. This week’s free swim lessons are canceled for the rest of the week, too. Unfortunately, this has become an annual exercise, and the reason our dues were increased last year to start a long-term capital improvement fund for extensive repairs in the years ahead. It’s worth noting the closure is so guards can clearly see the bottom of the Pool, not because the discolored wate

Attention all Eagle Nest parents, It's that time of year again -- free neighborhood swim lessons! Our lifeguard staff encourages you to enroll your little Eagle Nester(s) in this longtime neighborhood tradition to learn this important life skill.   We plan two consecutive weeks of daily basic instruction and water safety, perfect for first-timers and novice young swimmers.   Sessions are 30 minutes each, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to noon, during the weeks July 10-14 and July 17-21. Spots are limited, and enrollment is first-come, first-served so don’t wait to sign up. (Residents in good standing only, per the Board.)   Sign-up sheets are posted at the pool, on the Clubhouse windows under the back deck. If you need help finding them, just ask one of the lifeguards! (As a reminder, our facility is open daily noon to 8 p.m.)   Questions? Contact Pool Manager Samantha Burns at  samanthaburns51@gmail.com .  We look forward to seeing you at the pool!
