Hello, Eagle Nest residents! A reminder that our Annual Party is noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, August 1, at the Clubhouse. Here is what we have lined up: FREE FOOD:  Fried chicken, salads, chips and desserts. Per tradition, residents are encouraged to donate a side and share recipes! FREE DRINKS:  Kids can enjoy lemonade and bottled water. Adults (21 and older) are welcome to a variety of canned Sun King beers. FREE TREATS:  Summer favorite Kona Ice will be on site from noon to 2 p.m. serving up free shaved ice snow cones for all. Best part is, you can add your own flavor from Kona's self-serve flavor station! A COOL POOL:  Don't forget to bring your swimsuit -- the Pool will be open from noon to 6 p.m. The water is calling! Hello Eagle Nest residents,   Here is the latest neighborhood news for the week of July 26:   KONA ICE COMING TO ANNUAL PARTY ON SUNDAY, AUG. 1 Here’s something the kids don’t want to miss: free Kona Ice snow cones at the Annual Party! That’s right, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Clubhouse parking lot, the Board is treating every little Eagle Nester (OK, adults, too) to a free 8-ounce shaved ice cup. And here’s the fun part: Everyone can pour on their favorite flavors from a wide range of self-serve choices. Simply present your Pool pass to get your freebie. (One cone per person, please.) Some of you may remember we invited Kona Ice to the Clubhouse last year, and they were a huge hit among families. We’re looking forward to another great visit this Sunday. Hello Eagle Nest residents, Here is the latest neighborhood news for the week of July 19: SAVE THE DATE: SUNDAY, AUGUST 1, IS OUR ANNUAL EAGLE NEST PARTY! It’s been a tough, weird year for everyone, and now that things are opening up it’s time to celebrate all the goodness of life in Eagle Nest. Join us starting at noon Sunday, August 1, for the Annual Eagle Nest Party at the Clubhouse. The Board will provide free fried chicken, lemonade and bottled water, as well as a variety of Sun King beers for residents 21 and older. We also will have gift card drawings every half hour until 2 p.m., and we are working on some tasty free treats for the kids. Basically, a little something for everyone! Per tradition, we ask residents to bring/donate a side salad, trays of assorted cheese and crackers or fruit, chips, dips, etc., for neighbors to enjoy. We’ll have tables set up inside the Clubhouse so you can eat, greet and meet fellow Eagle Nesters. Families are welcome to eat outside in the upper p

Quick reminder that tomorrow is Food Truck Tuesday, and longtime Broad Ripple favorite Union Jack will be in the 'hood 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, at the Clubhouse! Their menu is full of all your bar food favorites: pork tenderloin sandwiches, Bavarian pretzel bread sticks and homemade queso, fish and chips, mac and cheese and more. Can't find your swim goggles or pool towel? We might have it at the Pool -- but not for long. Our growing pile of lost and found items will be donated to Goodwill on August 1, so if you're missing something please check the pile under the back deck. Want a real taste of the Southwest for dinner? We have the answer: Food Truck Tuesday with Serendipity, 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, at the Clubhouse. One of our most popular food truck partners, Serendipity is serving up a specialty menu of street tacos this week! (See menu below) We’re talking birria beef, red mole chicken, veggie, chorizo, or carnitas options, with sides of black beans and basmati rice. Don’t forget the fresh guacamole, cilantro and house-made salsa. Hungry yet? Hello Eagle Nest residents, The Board hopes your summer has been off to a great start. Apologies for the lag in communications – vacations and general neighborhood business have been keeping us busy. But we’re back on track, passing along a few notable updates: POOL SEASON A SPLASHING SUCCESS; ADJUSTED HOURS IN JULY If you’ve been to the Pool recently, you know our season is off to a great start. Our guards conducted two “sold out” sessions of free weeklong swimming lessons for little Eagle Nesters, continuing a longtime neighborhood tradition, and the staff has worked hard to keep the facility clean and operational. In addition, residents have dutifully submitted their COVID-19 waivers and kept their pool tags handy during each visit. We thank you for that. We do want to alert you about slightly adjusted hours of  noon to 6 p.m.  for the following days: July 17-18, and July 24. We know this may be an inconvenience, but it’s a temporary shift in operation to accommodate staffing needs.

Rainy weather got you down? We have a tasty fix: Eat pizza! Jet’s Pizza will be in the ‘hood 5-7 p.m. today, July 8, at the Clubhouse . Come on down and grab a $5 personal pizza or two, hot, boxed and ready to go. You don’t even have to get out of your car – just pull up and our Jet’s rep will hook you up! Sausage, pepperoni or cheese varieties will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Cash only, please (no plastic or electronic debit payments available). Jet’s is always popular with families, so get there early because once the pizzas are gone they’re gone. Hello Eagle Nest residents, Not feeling July 4 leftovers for dinner? We got you covered -- ChefTLC, aka the Faith Food Bus, will be serving up your favorite summer favorites 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (July 6) at the Clubhouse. Our longtime food truck partner’s menu is full of crazy-good comfort food: pulled pork, burgers, steak and cheese sandwiches, grilled chicken wraps, even a meatless Beyond Burger. Great summer sides, too, including homemade pasta salad, macaroni salad and potato salad. Drinks include 24-ounce Faygo products, sweet tea and more.
