Join neighborhood crime watch meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Clubhouse

Are you interested in keeping crime out of our neighborhood? All Eagle Nest residents are welcome to attend a meeting of the neighborhood Crime Watch block captains at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at the Clubhouse.

The meeting coincides with the National Night Out, which is designed for neighbors to come together and get to know one another while learning how to protect ourselves and our homes from invasion and violence. National statistics show a violent crime occurs every 26 seconds. Working together and joining in the National Night Out, our residents can be the change agents who bring awareness to our surroundings and hopefully reduce crime, especially in our neighborhood.

Thanks to Eagle Nest Crime Watch coordinator (and recently elected Board member) Carolyn Goldenetz, our Tuesday meeting has been registered with the national group as an official participant, a listing acknowledged by IMPD's Gerardo Becerra, Crime Watch Coordinator-North District. Thank you, Carolyn!

Keep an eye on your favorite neighborhood blog for a followup report about Tuesday's meeting.
