Crime Watch meeting 7 p.m. tonight

ENPOA’s February Crime Watch meeting of 2018 starts the year off with your self-protection in mind. About 80 percent of crime happens when we are not aware of our surroundings. Learning situational awareness and the OODA Loop (observe, orient, decide and act) helps empower you and protect your family. The OODA Loop is the process our minds cycle through by the millisecond. Understanding your own mind and a potential attacker’s can be life-saving.

Join us at 7 p.m. tonight (February 6) at the Clubhouse for our meeting. Carolyn Goldenetz, ENPOA Crime Watch Coordinator, will guide ENPOA residents through exercises that promote your awareness. Any age will benefit from this training, so bring the whole family! Do you have an upcoming college student? Learning these techniques are a great way to prepare your student with safety while they are away from home.

As always, refreshments will be served, and this month our focus is on families. Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets, yummy chocolate chip cookies and ice tea is on tap for our family friendly night of self-protection. Also, Valentine’s Day is coming up, so don’t miss our gift card giveaway and a shot at taking your special loved one out for a memorable dinner! See you tonight!
