A word about annual dues and late fees

Fellow Eagle Nest residents,

Just a quick update about our annual dues, which were payable by May 1. If you have not paid yet, the full amount of $400 is now due, which includes the loss of the $25 homeowner-in-good-standing credit. If dues are not paid by June 1, the amount will increase to $450, which factors in a $50 late fee. Your account also will be turned over to the association's attorney for collection. We hope it won't come to that, of course.

April emails that were sent to residents who had not paid, as well as an earlier blog post, indicated that the May 1 amount due would be $450. However, a review of the January dues letter to residents stated the amount due after May 1 was $400.

Though it was the original intent of the Board to assess the $50 late fee as of May 1 (making the amount due $450), a majority of members agreed that the Board did not effectively communicate that in January and have voted to stick with the original language of the 2018 dues correspondence. So, in a way we're saving you money!

Payments of $400 need to be postmarked by Thursday, May 31, or placed in the secure roadside mailbox in front of the Clubhouse, 8075 Teel Way, before midnight. The mailbox will be emptied promptly at 12:01 a.m. June 1, so please plan accordingly. Any payments that come in after that time will not be accepted.

For those who paid on time, thank you for doing your part and encouraging your neighbors to do the same.

If you have any questions about your dues balance, please contact our Secretary/Bookkeeper at enpoa_sec@att.net.

Thank you.
