Board Update: Pool use changes, food truck Tuesday, event updates, new sidewalk chalk art contest deadline
Hello Eagle Nest residents!
Here is what’s ahead in Eagle Nest for the week of July 27:
POOL USE CHANGES: Effective Monday, July 27, social gatherings – and the Eagle Nest Board interprets that as use of our community pool and Clubhouse – will be limited to 50 people at any one time, per newly issued guidance provided by Indiana Gov. Holcomb. In addition, per a city mandate issued by Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett, patrons older than age 8 are expected to wear a mask while inside the facilities if social distancing is not possible.
The mask requirement does not apply to anyone in the pool. Signed
waivers must be on file with the Board before any use of the pool or Clubhouse.
Because our lifeguard staff is the front line, they have the authority to eject
patrons for non-compliance or close the facility, if needed. We hope it won’t
come to that, of course. The Eagle Nest Board fully supports these measures to
ensure the health and safety of our residents, and we ask for your cooperation as
we continue efforts to mitigate COVID-19.

SWIM LESSONS A HIT! Speaking of the pool, this weekend wrapped up another successful season of free beginner swim lessons. Nearly every slot in both sessions was full, and our lifeguards did a wonderful job introducing our youngest residents to aquatic safety. If your kids missed out and you still want instruction, several guards are open to private lessons (hours and fee negotiable). Contact Pool Manager Samantha Burns at samanthaburns51@gmail.com for more information.
As always, please observe CDC guidelines on social distancing and use of masks and be careful entering and leaving the Clubhouse parking lot so you don't run over fellow neighbors. Also, please park in the back lot to keep the traffic pathways clear. If you have food truck suggestions, please contact Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net.
