The following Clubhouse events are open to all residents in good standing. Watch the blog homepage and our Facebook page for more details as they become available.

April
  • April 30, 6:30 p.m.: Board meeting (new date!)
May
  • May 5, 6:30 p.m.: Euchre Club 
  • May 6, 13, 20: 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.: Free yoga classes (residents only, 40 max participants)
  • May 14, 6:30 p.m.: Board meeting
  • May 21, 6:30 p.m.: Resident meeting on Fee Policy and Fine Schedule (tentative)
  • May 25, noon (Memorial Day): Pool opens. Watch the blog and Facebook for possible early open and/or weather delays)
June
  • June 2, 6:30 p.m.: Euchre Club
  • June 25, 6:30 p.m.: Annual Meeting and Board election
Open year-round
  • Self-serve Free Little Library on the east side of the Clubhouse
NON-CLUBHOUSE EVENTS

The following area events are not sponsored by Eagle Nest but may be of interest to residents:

Hello, Eagle Nesters! The Board hopes your spring is off to a great start. It’s hard to believe with all the cold, rainy weather of April that the Pool will be open in barely a month. In preparation for that, it’s time to share a few updates about the 2024 swim season: Nearly a dozen residents turn out to deep clean the Pool A huge thanks goes out to the volunteer team led by Bittern Lane residents John and Cindy Spicklemire for organizing a deep clean of Pool facility on Saturday, April 27. The team of 12 spent hours power washing the chairs to address years of sunblock stains and removing wall grime, while others pulled weeds, cleaned the tables and swept up debris. In return, the Board brought in Jimmy John’s sandwiches, chips and water to keep our cleaning crew fueled up. That was a small price to pay for what would have cost thousands of dollars in labor and time to hire a contractor to do the same work. Board Update April 2025: 82nd St. closure, dues reminder, storm drain issues, Easter Egg Hunt, Annual Meeting and Board election

82 nd Street road construction closure April 7-15 According to an April 2 release from the City of Indianapolis, 82 nd Street will be closed starting Monday, April 7, to Tuesday, April 15, between Craig Street and Castleton Road (basically between Speedway and Sparkling Image) for Nickel Plate Trail construction and railroad track removal. Detour signage will direct drivers to use Allisonville Road, 96th Street and I-69 to navigate around the closure. Businesses in the area will remain accessible to the public, Roberts wrote. Don’t get caught off guard! Plan ahead and leave early for work or school, as this will be a major disruption for the next week. (Take note, Starbucks lovers!) Dec. 10: Resident meeting to discuss covenant revisions. Other neighborhood news: Cookies with Santa, leaf pickup, new garbage carts

On Wednesday, Dec. 10, the Board of Directors invites all Eagle Nest residents to attend a neighborhood meeting at the Clubhouse to discuss proposed changes to the Association’s controlling documents in 2026. The revisions, developed by our legal counsel KSN, include updated language to address rental properties, prohibited vehicles, parking rules, and proper storage of unsightly garbage carts – most frequent complaints from residents. The purpose of the town hall: Share highlights of the proposed changes and receive resident feedback before a resident vote early next year. In order to pass, a majority of residents need to approve the changes to our covenants, which haven’t been updated since originally recorded with the city of Indianapolis in the mid-1970s. Suffice it to say, the Board thinks it’s time to reflect more modern times by fostering a more welcoming, safe and desirable residential environment that helps grow everyone’s property values.
