Board update June 2025: DirectorySpot classes, concrete recommendations needed, Q&A about Pool fobs, dues update, and upcoming summer social events
DirectorySpot classes will teach you how to use our neighborhood app
As many know, two years ago the Board discontinued publishing the costly printed neighborhood directory in favor of a convenient mobile-based app called DirectorySpot to save money and improve the security of resident lot information.
But we know not everyone has the same tolerance for technology, so Bookkeeper Chris’e Van Meter – the driving force behind the conversion from paper to digital – will host a series of free hands-on classes where residents to get help downloading the app, set up credentials, learn how edit lot information and much more.
Here are the dates for DirectorySpot classes at the Clubhouse:
- Wednesday, July 16, 6:30 p.m.
- Monday, July 21, 6:30 p.m.
- Sunday, July 27, 6:30 p.m.
Light refreshments will be provided. Questions before then? Contact Chris’e at enpoa_sec@att.net.
A few reminders about those Pool access fobs
Since the Pool opened, we’ve received several questions about the security fobs required for access. Here’s a quick Q&A:
Question: When were Pool fobs distributed?
Answer: Most residents signed a waiver and acceptance agreement to obtain their fobs last summer.
Answer: Most residents signed a waiver and acceptance agreement to obtain their fobs last summer.
Q: I didn’t pick mine up last summer or I’m a new resident since then. Who do I contact?
A: Contact Board Vice President Jason Van Meter at jpvanmeter@sbcglobal.net to make arrangements to get your fob and sign an acceptance form. To ensure we maintain a secure facility, each lot is issued only one fob. No extras, no exceptions.
Q: If I forget my fob, can the lifeguards just let me in?
A: No. In order to maintain a safe and secure facility, the Board and our Pool Manager have instructed the guards to stay in their guard chairs and refuse entry to anyone without an active fob. We want our guard staff watching the water, not monitoring the gate.
Q: What if my fob doesn’t work?
A: Chances are your dues aren’t paid or you have a lot violation. In either case, contact Jason Van Meter at jpvanmeter@sbcglobal.net to verify your account status or Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net for lot concerns.
Q: What if I threw away or lost my fob?
A: As stated on the acceptance agreement that all lot owners signed to obtain their fob, replacement fobs are available for $100 (cost covers equipment, reprogramming and deactivation of the original fob.). Please keep your fob in a safe place and don’t lose it!
Q: Where can I find the Pool rules?
A: Click here for our dedicated web page on the Eagle Nest blog.
Other questions? Contact Board Vice President Jason Van Meter at jpvanmeter@sbcglobal.net or Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net.
Board seeks concrete contractor recommendations to repair sports courts
Do you know a trusted -- and reasonable -- concrete contractor? The Board wants to hear your recommendations. Despite multiple discussions with several local contractors, we have been unable to secure a vendor to repair the cracks in our tennis/pickleball courts.
All the contractors we contacted proposed a complete removal and repaving of the facility, a six-figure cost our budget simply can’t absorb. The last time our courts were patched and repainted was 2018 (pictured), so they are more than due for attention.
Please email your recommendations Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net
Haven’t paid your annual dues yet? Late fees kick in this month
As of May 28, 35 of 419 lots – about 8% of our development – were still unpaid, slightly more than usual for this time of year. If you are one of them, please submit your payment asap via ACH (convenience fee applies) or drop it in the secure slot of our Clubhouse mailbox, 8075 Teel Way.
Remember that progressive late fees apply through June 31. After that, all unpaid accounts will be referred to collections, at which point it’s out of the Association’s hands. See the back of your dues letter to determine the appropriate late fee amount. Also, your access to the Pool and Clubhouse will be restricted until your account is paid. Thank you for your timely attention.
Planning a lot improvement? Submit your plan for approval
Now that the nice weather is here, homeowners are eager to make lot improvements like building fences and sheds, repaving driveways, painting, replacing decks, etc. A reminder that all exterior projects need to be approved by the Board. Requests are rarely declined; we just need to ensure all projects fit with the neighborhood’s aesthetics. Check the Eagle Nest blog for guidance on how to submit an improvement request and what’s required.
Save the dates and join us for these Eagle Nest events:

Scott Thien, President
