Board seeks new Pool Manager for 2026 swim season

Looking for a way to give back to the Eagle Nest community? Want a hand in operating our wonderful Pool facility? Interested in managing our experienced lifeguard staff and coordinating occasional pool events? Enjoy engaging with residents in a fun, relaxing environment?

The Eagle Nest Board has a job for you! We are seeking a new Pool Manager to replace long-time employee Samantha Burns, who is stepping down due to an increasingly busy work and personal schedule.

Sam (right) has been connected with the pool for more than a decade, starting first as a guard, then head guard and lastly as manager. She has been a reliable, behind-the-scenes hero in keeping our pumps running, ensuring water quality met health-code standards, juggling staff schedules, and coordinating service calls, among other things. Under her leadership, our Pool has remained open daily and fully staffed, year after year. Her institutional knowledge will be greatly missed!

So now, the search has begun for our next Pool Manager – a paid part-time position May through September. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with pool operations and management experience, but that’s not required. Also, residency in Eagle Nest is preferred but not required, so the Board asks residents to share this opportunity with family, friends and work networks.

To apply, request a job description or if you have questions, please contact Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net. The deadline to apply is Feb. 28.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and help in spreading the word about this rewarding opportunity to maintain a community gem!
