Shadeland Station shopping center bought, to be remodeled

OK, it's not exactly neighborhood news, but close enough:

Shadeland Station shopping plaza, anchored by Marsh, Planet Fitness, Subway, Dollar Tree and a UPS store, has been bought by a New York-based investment company for $9.5 million and will undergo renovation.

The buyer plans to renovate the center’s interior and make improvements to outdoor signage in to modernize its overall appearance, according to a report by the Indiana Business Journal.

For those who shop there, this certainly is welcome news for a plaza that inarguably has seen better days. Now, if only we could get the city to install sidewalks along Hague Road and repave 75th Street ....
