Sahm Pool’s closing a reminder of staffing challenges

As operators of one of the largest private neighborhood pools on the Northeastside, the Eagle Nest Board was saddened to hear about the recent closure of nearby Sahm Aquatic Center and Pool due to lack of staff. “Sahm is one of the largest pools in the city and requires more staff to safely operate than any other pool,” the park wrote recently in a Facebook post . “That’s a challenge every year, however this season it was impossible due to the park manager role being vacant for over a year despite multiple offers and rounds of interviews for the position. The Park Manager role is currently posted, and we are actively recruiting for it.” Until the pool reopens patrons have been directed to use the pool at Broad Ripple Park this summer – 7 miles away. Board June update: Annual Meeting and Board Election on June 25, dues and pool update, house demolition, tennis court repairs and more

As previously announced on our blog and Facebook page, the Annual Meeting and Board election is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at our Clubhouse. All residents in good standing (whose annual dues are paid) are welcome to attend. The meeting will begin with regular business, officer and committee reports, then close with new business and a tally of election ballots. Ballots (including write-in candidates) will be accepted until 6:30 p.m. in the Clubhouse mailbox (8075 Teel Way), or residents can deliver them in-person while attending the meeting. Questions?
