Summer may be over, but it's never too late to join the Eagle Nest Garden Club
Want to know how to best prepare your flower beds, bushes and landscape areas for fall and winter (yes, those cold temps are coming)? Join the Eagle Nest Garden Club, a neighborhood staple since 1978.
The purpose of the group is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to exchange experiences, plants and seeds, and to promote neighborhood beautification. In addition to monthly meetings, the group hosts and annual plant auction and voluntarily maintains the landscaping at the 82nd and 75th Street entrances.
The club meets the second Monday of every month at the Clubhouse and routinely organizes field trips and features guest speakers at meetings. The group is a member of Central District of the Garden Club of Indiana, Inc., as well as the Central Region National Garden Clubs, Inc.
For information or to join the club, contact Garden Club President Sharon Danielson at Swife52@aol.com.
