5 things you need to know about today’s Pool opening for 2025
The event Eagle Nest residents have been waiting for is finally here! No, not the Indy 500, not Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals for our Pacers – we’re talking about today’s opening of our 2025 Pool season!
Starting today at noon, Sunday, May 25, residents in good standing are welcome to enjoy our neighborhood’s most popular amenity!
Five things you need to know about our Pool opening:
No. 1: Pool access fob required.
No. 1: Pool access fob required.
As a reminder, last year the Board eliminated the plastic pool tags in favor of issuing one electronic access fob per lot. If you paid your dues and your payment has cleared, your fob will be activated and ready to swipe at the front gate. If it doesn’t work, contact Board Vice President Jason Van Meter at jpvanmeter@sbcglobal.net or Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net.
No. 2: We are open daily!
Unlike the nearby Sahm Park Aquatic Center or other area neighborhood pools, our facility will be open daily from noon to 8 p.m. daily. Thanks to our awesome lifeguard team for that! In the event of inclement weather, lifeguards on duty will determine temporary or full closure for the day. Adult-only swim times and dates for free swim lessons will be announced in the weeks ahead.
No. 3: Guards will not open the gate.
In the interest of safety and keeping our facility secure, our lifeguard staff has been instructed not to open the gate for any reason. It is not their job to manage entry – that’s the Board’s job. “I forgot my fob” won’t work, so let’s avoid unnecessary awkwardness. Concerns? Contact Board Vice President Jason Van Meter at jpvanmeter@sbcglobal.net or Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net.
No. 4: Lot violations mean no entry.
If your lot is in violation of our covenants, your Pool fob won’t work. Violation examples include leaving your blue Republic garbage cart or boat or trailer out for all to see, or a lawn or landscaping that is unsightly. Once corrected (and the Board has confirmed it), you will be able to access the facility. Contact Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net to discuss any lot issues.

No. 5: Pool rules – please follow them.
The Eagle Nest Pool is a family-friendly facility and we want to keep it that way. The Board encourages and expects all residents to read our Pool rules on the blog. Violators will be ejected and risk the loss of future Pool access. Our lifeguard staff appreciates your cooperation for everyone’s safety.
