Indianapolis, Lawrence announce same trick-or-treats hours but different days

Eagle Nest residents could see trick-or-treaters two nights in a row, depending on which city announcement they observe. On Monday, Lawrence Mayor Steve Collier announced the city will shift trick-or-treat hours a day earlier, to 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, to avoid a wet Wednesday forecast. However, as of late Monday, the City of Indianapolis still planned to observe trick-or-treat hours of 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31. Eagle Nest residents are advised to leave their  porch lights on if they want visitors, or turn them off if they don't want to be visited. Click here for the latest trick-or-treat times in Central Indiana. IMPD will have extra patrols and enforcement in neighborhoods during these times to protect the safety of residents during Halloween festivities. If you are joining in this year’s trick-or-treating fun, please consider the following safety tips: • Wear light-colored clothing short enough to prevent tripping and add  reflective tape • Wear fire-resis

FELLOW RESIDENTS -- PLEASE CALL IPL OR GO ONLINE AND REPORT OUR CURRENT POWER OUTAGE ASAP! If you're home and checking email or Facebook by cell phone you no doubt are sitting in the dark wondering when the power will come back on after today's wind storms. So is the rest of the neighborhood. You can help speed up the restoration process by reporting our neighborhood outage to IPL: Website: https://www.iplpower.com/Outages-30064771049/ Phone number: (317) 261-8111 As of 10:30 p.m. Oct. 20, only six (6) Eagle Nest properties have reported a power outage, according to IPL's website -- and yet we know our entire neighborhood is dark after nearly five hours. Please help -- go online or call IPL now. The more homes that report, the larger the number of complaints are registered and the more attention we'll get. Thank you for your assistance.
