Testimonials:

Wonder what it’s like to live in Eagle Nest? Read these testimonials submitted by residents:

Todd and Rokeena Williams, 8111 Warbler Way: Eagle Nest neighborhood is a special community for families wanting convenience, safety and diversity. When you walk down our sidewalks expect to see pride and care in our homes, friendly neighbors waving hello to you and children playing outside. Enjoy the beautiful mature trees with glimpses of wildlife from the nearby nature preserves. Our kids enjoy the great schools and opportunities to play and socialize at the private playground, basketball courts, tennis courts and pool. In the summer, we grab a book from the Little Free Library and enjoy family nights at the Clubhouse with dinner from a convenient rotation of excellent food trucks organized by the Board. My favorite time is sitting on my back porch listening to Lawrence North High School band play at the game. The hustle and bustle is more enjoyable with the convenience of nearby shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Simply said … Eagle Nest knows how to make you fall deeply in love with your neighborhood.

Brandon and Sarah Craney, 8144 Teel Way: When selecting a home, you have three important qualifiers: location, size and price. As a young couple, we were told the best we could do was two out of the three. When we found our home in Eagle Nest, it was the perfect trifecta. The location was prime, the size was perfect, and the price was right in our range. During quarantine we have grown to appreciate our neighborhood even more. We take our dogs on walks and get to take in the wonderful variety of the neighborhood. Nowadays, neighborhoods are so cookie-cutter, with all the houses looking the same. In Eagle Nest, no two houses look the same and it adds a sense of diversity that one desires when looking for a forever home. It’s rare to see a house for sale in Eagle Nest, but when you do see one on the market it’s usually sold within a day or two. That speaks volumes about how sought after this neighborhood really is. We are so lucky to have found Eagle Nest and are very happy here. We are truly at home.

Jim and Nan Reinhardt, 7815 Gull Court: When Jim and I sold our house of 37 years on the Eastside and began looking for a new home for our retirement years, we knew we didn’t want to buy into a “retirement community” and we weren’t really interested in a brand-new house in a brand-new neighborhood. We wanted character! When our realtor first brought us through Eagle Nest, we both immediately knew we were home. This was where we belonged. The lovely big trees, winding streets, and custom homes are exactly what we were hoping to find. We love sitting out front in the mornings and exchanging friendly greetings with our new neighbors who pass by, or hanging out on the patio in the evenings to enjoy a glass of wine, breezes and birdsong. The folks on Gull Court, the whole neighborhood, really, have been gracious and fun to get to know. We’ve become good friends with our nearest dear neighbors, and we’re anxious to meet others as soon as it is safe to socialize again. We can’t think of any other neighborhood we’d rather be “stuck at home” in due to the pandemic! Thanks for the warm welcome, Eagle Nesters!

Richard and Marilyn Coryell, 8104 Teel Way: Why I love Eagle Nest in the winter: Snow removal on the streets, beautiful scenery with all the trees, easy access to main roads, interstates, etc.

Why I love Eagle Nest in the spring: New life in all the trees and the beautifully maintained yards, good drainage, opening of pool and playgrounds.

Why I love Eagle Nest in the summer: The swimming pool, lovely flowers in front yards, nice streets/sidewalks to run, jog, walk or ride bikes, food trucks.

Why I love Eagle Nest in the fall: Beautiful leaves on the trees, my back yard, my fire pit.

Why I love Eagle Nest year round: Pleasant, friendly, good neighbors who maintain their homes, yards and respect their neighbors; amenities like the pool, clubhouse, playgrounds; easy access to main roads and interstates; HOA to maintain aesthetics, streets, security, amenities; access to excellent public and private schools; access to my church and a variety of restaurants.
