House warming April 26 for Tanager Court home burned in 2022 fire

Imagine just two weeks before Christmas, a fire completely guts your home and all virtually everything inside. That’s what happened in 2023 to the Ramirez family at 8104 Tanager Court (above left). Thankfully, no one suffered serious injuries, which is remarkable given several children had to jump out of second-story windows into the arms of family members below.

In the weeks that followed that tragic event, Eagle Nest residents raised more than $4,000 through a Go Fund Me page to help the family buy food, necessities and temporary housing. The family has since rebuilt the home (top right) – even expanded it – and moved back in this month.

Now the family would like to formally thank neighbors for all their support during such a difficult time: Residents are invited to a house-warming gathering from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at 8104 Tanager Ct. Stop by, introduce yourself and meet the family that endured so much and thought so highly of our development they couldn’t wait to return.

If you plan to attend, the family requests an RSVP by calling 317-720-9280.
