Please keep the streets clear of vehicles so our plows can address overnight snow

As many are aware, Indianapolis is forecast to get 2 to 4 inches of snow overnight. The Board of Directors asks residents to clear all vehicles off the roads so our plowing contractor can address the roads efficiently in the morning.

Plowing should start about 7 a.m., which is when the snow accumulation is expected to stop. Due to budget constraints, we’re trying to time our work with the end of the storm so we avoid multiple plowings for a minor snow event like this.

As has been our longtime practice, the main throughfares will be plowed first, then secondary streets, then the cul-de-sacs. We ask for your patience and understanding as it takes time to safely plow the nearly 8 miles of roads in our development.

The first step in that effort is to keep the streets clear of vehicles. Drive safe!

Board May update: Pool opening, pool fobs, dues update, Board election, tennis court repairs, neighborhood garage sale

Memorial Day is the traditional unofficial start of summer — and that means a lot of upcoming activities in Eagle Nest! A quick rundown of what to expect: Pool opening: The good news? The Pool will be open daily noon to 8 p.m., starting Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. Popsicles and adult beverages will be available for kids and adults, respectively, that first day. P lease familiarize yourself with our  Pool rules here . Questions? Contact new Co-Pool Managers Ken Burns (daily operations and facility maintenance) or Andrew Taylor (administration and Pool fobs).  The bad news? Our heater is on the fritz, so the water will be chilly. Our team is seeking bids for a replacement unit, but it may take several weeks before we figure out next steps. Pray for warmer weather soon! Hello, Eagle Nesters! The Board hopes your spring is off to a great start. It’s hard to believe with all the cold, rainy weather of April that the Pool will be open in barely a month. In preparation for that, it’s time to share a few updates about the 2024 swim season: Nearly a dozen residents turn out to deep clean the Pool A huge thanks goes out to the volunteer team led by Bittern Lane residents John and Cindy Spicklemire for organizing a deep clean of Pool facility on Saturday, April 27. The team of 12 spent hours power washing the chairs to address years of sunblock stains and removing wall grime, while others pulled weeds, cleaned the tables and swept up debris. In return, the Board brought in Jimmy John’s sandwiches, chips and water to keep our cleaning crew fueled up. That was a small price to pay for what would have cost thousands of dollars in labor and time to hire a contractor to do the same work.
