Crime Watch alert: Man enters fenced back yard, stares into home on Warbler Way

Residents are advised to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police after an intruder incident Friday, Jan. 9, on Warbler Way.

Between 10-11 p.m., a man wearing an orange top entered a fenced back yard and stared at a babysitter in the home for several minutes, the homeowner told the Eagle Nest Board. The babysitter called her parents to the house, but the intruder was gone before they arrived.

Police were called and they did a sweep of the area but didn’t find anything. No injuries or damage were reported.

What you can do
If you live on Warbler Way and have Ring camera or other security video device that captured any suspicious individuals or activity during that time, please contact any Eagle Nest Board member. The incident serves as a good reminder that while our neighborhood is among the safest in the area, crime knows no boundaries.

Safety tips
Residents are advised to always keep doors and windows locked, secure vehicles in closed garages, and turn on exterior lights at night to discourage prowlers and promote neighborhood safety. And as always, if you see something suspicious call 911 immediately. It only takes a second for a seemingly odd situation to become a problem, or worse.

Stay alert and stay safe.
