Snow plowing update as of 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25

First off, we hope everyone is staying warm and safe during our first major snowstorm of 2026. Ah, Midwest life.

Where things stand
  • Our plowing contractor started about 2 p.m. and wrapped up work about 5 p.m. after making all eight miles of our roadways passable for police and emergency vehicles.
  • Many cul-de-sacs were skipped initially so that our main roads could be addressed. If your court has not been plowed with at least one pass through, please let us know.
  • In addition, we aware a few cul-de-sac driveways were unintentionally blocked by piles of snow, so our contractor will address those on Monday.
What's next
  • Another 2-3 inches of snow is possible through the night, so our team will be out again Monday for cleanup plowing.
  • If you or our neighbors have vehicles parked in the roadway (namely along Tanager Lane, Teel Way or any cul-de-sac), please move them into your driveways so our plowing contractor can work efficiently and safely. The Board is not responsible for any plowed in vehicles.
Kindly reminder
Snow plowing during an active storm is an imperfect science, especially when curbs aren't marked with snow sticks, so we kindly ask for your patience and understanding.

The good news is our neighborhood was addressed relatively quickly. Some residents who ventured out Sunday afternoon reported that 82nd Street from Hague Road all the way to St. Vincent Hospital on 86th St. was passable with one lane but deep snow ruts and random mounds of snow from contractors working the strip malls along the way.

Need help?
If you need your driveway partially or completely cleared, call Eagle Nest resident Michael Spicklemire at 317-691-3603. He has a hungry snowblower and is clearing driveways (or just the mouths and mailbox areas) on a first-come, first-served basis ($40-$60).
