Pool closed for 2026 season



It was a good run, but unfortunately our Pool is closed for the season. Despite multiple scrubbings with our robot cleaner and heavy chemical treatments, the water quality and clarity of our Pool have not improved enough for safe swimming.

We know this is disappointing, and we apologize for the inconvenience, but our aging pump mechanicals simply never fully recovered from last month's storms. As previously mentioned, we were open 93 out of 107 scheduled days, which was a pretty good run, considering the age of our facility and that many pools close after school starts. Nearby Sahm Park Pool, one of the city's largest facilities, didn't even open this year due to lack of staff, so we're extremely lucky and thankful for our Pool team.
We sincerely thank Facilities Manager Ken Burns and our lifeguard team for all their hard work to keep our facility open and safe this season, given all the new health department requirements. Ken (and his daughter Sam, our previous Pool manager), has more than a decade of institutional knowledge about our Pool. No one, no family in our community, no pool company could have done a better job this season. Hard stop, no debate. So for that, Ken, thank you for your commitment to serving our residents!

As previously announced on our blog and Facebook page, the Annual Meeting and Board election is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at our Clubhouse. All residents in good standing (whose annual dues are paid) are welcome to attend. The meeting will begin with regular business, officer and committee reports, then close with new business and a tally of election ballots. Ballots (including write-in candidates) will be accepted until 6:30 p.m. in the Clubhouse mailbox (8075 Teel Way), or residents can deliver them in-person while attending the meeting. Questions? Board May update: Pool opening, pool fobs, dues update, Board election, tennis court repairs, neighborhood garage sale

Memorial Day is the traditional unofficial start of summer — and that means a lot of upcoming activities in Eagle Nest! A quick rundown of what to expect: Pool opening: The good news? The Pool will be open daily noon to 8 p.m., starting Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. Popsicles and adult beverages will be available for kids and adults, respectively, that first day. P lease familiarize yourself with our  Pool rules here . Questions? Contact new Co-Pool Managers Ken Burns (daily operations and facility maintenance) or Andrew Taylor (administration and Pool fobs).  The bad news? Our heater is on the fritz, so the water will be chilly. Our team is seeking bids for a replacement unit, but it may take several weeks before we figure out next steps. Pray for warmer weather soon! Eagle Nest Board update for April 2026: dues, streetlights, potholes, suspicious vehicles, upcoming events and more

Now that spring has sprung in Eagle Nest, summer isn’t far behind – barely two months away! With that, the Board has a few updates and event announcements to pass along: Package delivery alert: Suspicious vehicles trolling streets If you order from Amazon or other delivery sites, take note: Residents along Warbler Way recently reported suspicious vehicles (shown) driving slowly along the street, possibly looking for packages. One vehicle even tailed a U.S. Postal Service truck for blocks as it made its deliveries one day. If you expect a package to be delivered while you are away or at work, the Board suggests you ask a neighbor to grab the package for you or time your deliveries for when you are home.
