Have you turned in your covenant amendments proxy form?
Life is busy, we get it. Work, school, kids, travel, you name it. Reading a through a packet of legalese isn't a priority for most folks.
But taking a just a few minutes to review and vote on the Board's proposed covenant amendments could affect your property values for years to come. We're looking to ban short-term rentals, Airbnbs and Vrbos, as well as address residents' concerns about parking and garbage. Will you help?
So far, 46% of Eagle Nest lot owners have submitted their proxy ballots, most in support of our proposals. But we’re not there yet. We have until Dec. 22 to collect a simple majority of yes or no votes.
The Board recommends passage of all the measures, but the final decision is up to residents, of course. We simply ask owners to participate in the process. And if you drop your proxy in the Clubhouse mailbox by Friday, Oct. 30, you'll be entered into a random drawing for a $25 VISA gift card. Six lot owners have won so far -- a mix of supporters and opponents -- and we're looking for three more winners in our final drawing. One could be you!
To help you decide, we’ve created a special blog landing page with links to a downloadable proxy form and all the related documents to read.
Don't leave decisions about your property to someone else. Fill out your proxy, drop it in our secure Clubhouse mailbox at 8075 Teel Way or email it to our new Association address MyEagleNestHOA@gmail.com
Questions? Email Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net or Vice President John Strauss at johncstrauss@gmail.com. Or bring them to our next Board meeting, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Clubhouse.
Thank you in advance for your support in keeping Eagle Nest an owner-occupied community and protecting a way life that makes our community the envy of surrounding neighborhoods.
