Prowler with BB gun reported on Quail Ct.

The Board recently learned about an incident involving a prowler last weekend around Quail Court and Dove Court. Apparently, guests of a graduation party noticed a young male hiding in bushes between houses during the early evening, and when approached young man took off running along Teel Way. The next day, residents found a BB gun rifle where the young man first was spotted, and police responded to investigate. No injuries were reported, but as a precaution police warn residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity. Anyone with information or leads about this incident is encouraged to call CrimeStoppers at 262-TIPS (8477). As always, if you see something suspicious, say something -- call 911 immediately. Board membership changes, election and annual meeting on June 28

Following are a few updates from the May meeting of the Eagle Nest Board of Directors: Board membership change: Vice President Mike Lathrop has resigned his position and membership from the Board in preparation for his family's move to another neighborhood. Mike was instrumental in leading the ENPOA's warning and violation letters process, a key function in helping maintain our neighborhood's aesthetic appeal and ensuring  resident compliance with city code and our legally binding controlling documents. Over the years, Mike helped educate residents and worked for resolution to address abandoned cars, dead trees, overgrown grass and lot maintenance, as well as act as liaison to the city for abandoned properties and other code needs. Simply put, Mike's experience and guidance was invaluable to the neighborhood and will be sorely missed. Good luck to you and your family, Mike, and thank you for all you've done for our neighborhood! New Vice President: Longtime Bo

Neighborhood Garage Sale is June 4-6

The warm weather has arrived, and that means many residents have begun spring cleaning and purging. Look for those items during Eagle Nest's annual Garage Sale, Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6 , with the neighborhood preview on Thursday, June 4. The Board will advertise the sale in the newspaper. Our neighborhood sale coincides with Castle Cove's, so we hope to share the pass-through traffic. Start the cleaning and planning now! -- Submitted by Alice Miley , Director and Social Committee member

Neighborhood walking group formed

On Tuesday, May 12, Eagle Nest residents will meet at 6 p.m. at the Clubhouse for the initial outing of the Eagle Nest Walking Group in an effort to encourage exercise. The walking group will walk 1.5 miles, beginning and ending at the Clubhouse. All residents are welcome along with pets and strollers! Fast or slow walkers are encouraged to join. The group will plan to meet every Tuesday until bad weather sets in. This is a great way to get to know other Eagle Nest neighbors and get in better shape! The Eagle Nest Social Committee has planned many activities for 2015. Keep watching the blog for more info. A list of the Thursday Night Family Fun nights will be included when pool tags are distributed in mid-May to residents who have paid their dues. The pool will open Memorial Day weekend, weather permitting. -- Submitted by Alice Miley , Director and Social Committee member
