4th of July celebration at Eagle Nest

Eagle Nest residents will get to begin their 4th of July holiday weekend early with our third annual Patriotic Parade for kids at 6 p.m. Kids can decorate their bikes, wagons, or strollers with red, white, and blue decorations that we will provide.   After the parade, there will be a hot dog pitch-in in the pool area.  ENPOA will provide the hotdogs along with lemonade, and residents can bring side dishes.  The weather will be perfect, and  it is a great way to visit with your neighbors and enjoy Family Fun Night at the pool!

2106 Annual Meeting election results

The Eagle Nest Board of Directors thanks all the residents who cast ballots for the 2016 Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 26. Dozens of votes by new and longtime residents from all corners of the neighborhood were recorded, and all Directors on the ballot -- Michael Jackson, Alice Miley, Scott Thien and Jason Van Meter -- were unanimously re-elected. There were no write-in candidates or petitions for special elections. The four re-elected Board Directors will serve two-year terms, volunteer posts ending in June 2018. The Board voted to delay election of new officers until the July 26 meeting. Board seats held by Judith Buddenbaum, Carolyn Goldenetz and Kim Issak will be up for re-election at the next Annual Meeting, in June 2017. The Board of Directors thanks and appreciates everyone for their support. As always, feel free to contact any Board member  with questions, suggestions or concerns. -- President Scott Thien

Eagle Nest Board, Garden Club sponsor neighborhood's first Curb Appeal Awards

Eagle Nest residents already know we live in the best neighborhood on the Northeastside. Now it's time to show off! The Eagle Nest Board and our longtime Garden Club are teaming up to sponsor the first "Curb Appeal Awards"! It's our way of thanking residents for making our neighborhood desirable by keeping homes repaired and painted and grounds maintained with neat landscaping and colorful flowers and plantings. All that translates helps maintain property values and shows the character and pride of our homeowners. In appreciation, a $75, $50 and $25 awards will be given to first, second and third place winners. Photos of the winning properties will be displayed on the blog, too. Judging begins Sunday, June 25, and ends Friday, July15. Good luck to everyone! -- Board President Scott Thien, on behalf of the Garden Club

Family Fun Night food update for Thursday, June 23

Be sure to swing by the Clubhouse on Thursday and bring your appetite! We've lined up a local catering company to provide a variety of delicious sandwich wraps -- chicken bacon ranch, buffalo chicken, BLT and gluten-free vegetarian -- plus chips for $6 (cash only).  Bottled water also will be available for an additional $1. Board member Kim Isaak will be set up in front of the Clubhouse for convenient drive-through service! Supplies will be limited, so get there early for the best selection! Next week, on Thursday, June 30, be sure to join us at 6 p.m. at the Clubhouse for the third annual 4th of July Parade, followed by free hotdogs and light refreshments/pitch-in dinner. (We're having the parade a little early this year in the hope of catching residents before they take off for the long holiday weekend). Don't miss this colorful collection of neighborhood kids riding their bikes, wagons, skateboards and even strollers to celebrate Independence Day! Walkers and joggers...
