Break-ins reported on Tanager Lane

Residents are urged to stay vigilant and to call 911 for any suspicious activity after reports of two break-ins on Tanager Lane this weekend. Details:
  • On the morning of Saturday, Nov. 26, a resident in the 8100 block of Tanager Lane said she found a man inside her car. When confronted, the middle-aged man with light facial hair ran west on Tanager. Police responded and patrolled the neighborhood. No injuries or arrests were reported.
  • During the weekend, a home in the 8400 block of Tanager Lane was broken into, despite an active security system. Police responded and patrolled the neighborhood. No injuries or arrests were reported. 
Again, call 911 if you see any suspicious activity, no matter how small or unusual.

82 nd Street road construction closure April 7-15 According to an April 2 release from the City of Indianapolis, 82 nd Street will be closed starting Monday, April 7, to Tuesday, April 15, between Craig Street and Castleton Road (basically between Speedway and Sparkling Image) for Nickel Plate Trail construction and railroad track removal. Each year, it gets harder and harder to pick the winners in the annual Holiday Lights Contest – and that’s a good thing. It’s so refreshing, uplifting and encouraging to see the spirit of the holidays on full display across the neighborhood, in big ways and small. Board Update: Pool Party with free food, new fob access, cleanup crew recap; Annual Garage Sale June 7-8; dues deadlines approaching and more!

Hello, Eagle Nesters! The Board hopes your spring is off to a great start. It’s hard to believe with all the cold, rainy weather of April that the Pool will be open in barely a month. In preparation for that, it’s time to share a few updates about the 2024 swim season: Nearly a dozen residents turn out to deep clean the Pool A huge thanks goes out to the volunteer team led by Bittern Lane residents John and Cindy Spicklemire for organizing a deep clean of Pool facility on Saturday, April 27. The team of 12 spent hours power washing the chairs to address years of sunblock stains and removing wall grime, while others pulled weeds, cleaned the tables and swept up debris. In return, the Board brought in Jimmy John’s sandwiches, chips and water to keep our cleaning crew fueled up. That was a small price to pay for what would have cost thousands of dollars in labor and time to hire a contractor to do the same work.
