2017 holiday home decoration winners

Image
Once again, Eagle Nest residents have done a great job decorating for the Christmas holiday! This year's judging was difficult, but judges determined that Jennifer Pinegar's home (above) at 7814 Nightingale Ct. is this year's winner. She is the proud recipient of a $25 gift card to Target. Second place this year was awarded to Michael and Elizabeth Jones' home at 7901 Tanager Lane. Third place was Norma Leverenz's home at 8232 Osprey Court. A special shout-out goes to previous winners Brian and Brandy Schneider at 8331 Mockingbird Lane. Each year, their holiday display is even more breath-taking! Thank you to those who created the magic of the season for everyone to enjoy as they drive through our wonderful development. It was very hard judging since so many residents put so much effort in decorating. Congratulations to all! The Eagle Nest Board

Barking dogs or stray cats a nuisance? Call the Mayor’s Action Center for help

Like mature trees and well-kept yards, pets are common sight throughout our neighborhood. Sometimes things go astray (pun intended) with the occasional wandering cat, barking or nuisance dog, or those surprise remains found on front lawns. Unfortunately, the Eagle Nest Board has no control over such matters – but the City of Indianapolis does. To file a complaint or report about animals and related issues, contact the Mayor's Action Center for help: Call: (317) 327-4MAC Online: http://maps.indy.gov/RequestIndy/ Mobile device: RequestIndy app available in the App Store or GooglePlay Store If you are having problems with a resident’s animals, the neighborly thing to do is to discuss your concerns with the resident first. Sometimes, people aren’t aware their pets are a nuisance. However, if you continue to exper...

Eagle Nest Holiday Decoration Contest and Cookies with Santa!

The Holiday Season has arrived in our Eagle Nest neighborhood!  The warm weather has helped neighbors put up their Holiday Decorations.   On Dec. 17, at 6 p .m., board members will judge great decorations so make sure your lights are on.  The winner will receive a $25 gift card.  Thanks to all neighbors who make our community look warm and inviting.    Our annual Cookies with Santa will be on Sunday, Dec. 17, from 3- 4 p.m. All children of the neighborhood are welcome to decorate cookies, color holiday pictures, and most importantly, visit with Santa.  Don't wait in line at the mall for pictures with Santa.  Our event is free and fun! We could use extra help with this event, so if you would like to volunteer, get in touch with Alice Miley.
