Board update: Annual Meeting tonight, food truck on Tuesday, Bittern Lane vehicle break-in, pool reminder


Eagle Nest residents,

As we close out the month of June, following are a few quick neighborhood updates and reminders:

 Annual Meeting and Board Election: Today, Monday, June 29, is the Annual Meeting and Board Election, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Clubhouse. Residents in good standing are welcome to attend; ballots need to be dropped in the Clubhouse mailbox, 8075 Teel Way, or delivered in person at the meeting. Write-in candidates are welcome, but all write-ins must be present during the Annual Meeting to accept their nomination. Meeting attendees are encouraged to wear face masks. Seating will be socially distanced.

Vehicle break-in reported: On Saturday night/early Sunday morning, a locked truck in the 8100 block of Bittern Lane as broken into (rear door window was broken) and some items were taken. If you park your vehicles outside, make sure you lock the doors, keep all valuables out of sight and turn on your exterior porch lights. It's summer, so petty crime always seems to see a slight uptick with the warmer night temps.

Food truck on Tuesday: Back by popular demand, the soul-infused ChefTLC food bus will be at the Clubhouse from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 30. New menu items include: big chicken wings, pulled pork, peach cobbler, and limited amounts of biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffle, and the Big R Burger with a fried egg! Call ahead or text your order to (317) 389-1968 and arrange a pickup time. Cash and credit cards accepted. If you have food truck suggestions, please email scottthien@comcast.net.

Pool reminder: As Indianapolis and the state of Indiana move toward Phase 5 of the Back on Track reopening plan on July 4, please remain vigilant about observing the posted COVID-19 rules around the facility, presenting pool tags upon entry, and submitting the required waivers, if you haven’t already. If you didn’t receive your tags, contact Secretary/ Bookkeeper Chris’e Van Meter at enpoa_sec@att.net to check the status of your account. Facility questions? Memorial Day is the traditional unofficial start of summer — and that means a lot of upcoming activities in Eagle Nest! A quick rundown of what to expect: Pool opening: The good news? The Pool will be open daily noon to 8 p.m., starting Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. Popsicles and adult beverages will be available for kids and adults, respectively, that first day. Board June update: Annual Meeting and Board Election on June 25, dues and pool update, house demolition, tennis court repairs and more

As previously announced on our blog and Facebook page, the Annual Meeting and Board election is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at our Clubhouse. All residents in good standing (whose annual dues are paid) are welcome to attend. The meeting will begin with regular business, officer and committee reports, then close with new business and a tally of election ballots. Ballots (including write-in candidates) will be accepted until 6:30 p.m. in the Clubhouse mailbox (8075 Teel Way), or residents can deliver them in-person while attending the meeting. Questions? Eagle Nest Board update for April 2026: dues, streetlights, potholes, suspicious vehicles, upcoming events and more

Now that spring has sprung in Eagle Nest, summer isn’t far behind – barely two months away! With that, the Board has a few updates and event announcements to pass along: Package delivery alert: Suspicious vehicles trolling streets If you order from Amazon or other delivery sites, take note: Residents along Warbler Way recently reported suspicious vehicles (shown) driving slowly along the street, possibly looking for packages. One vehicle even tailed a U.S. Postal Service truck for blocks as it made its deliveries one day. If you expect a package to be delivered while you are away or at work, the Board suggests you ask a neighbor to grab the package for you or time your deliveries for when you are home.
