Volunteers sought for entrance landscaping meeting March 23

Image
Are you interested in making our neighborhood entrances more inviting? Got a green thumb to help maintain the plantings around our Eagle Nest monuments? Your chance to volunteer is here! Join us for the organizational meeting   of our Eagle Nest Beautification Team, 6 p.m. Monday, March 23, at the Clubhouse. Light refreshments will be served. Longtime resident and Hague Road median caretaker Janet Long and our groundskeeper Manuel Andrade of Allure Landscaping will lead the discussion and field questions and suggestions for improving the landscaping at our three Eagle Nest entrances. Over the years, occasional anonymous volunteers and the now defunct Garden Club had a heavy hand in maintaining things. But times have changed and some residents have moved on, so the Board is looking for the next generation of volunteers. No experience needed – just a desire to help make our community the best it can be and our entrances the envy of surrounding neighborhoods. Join us!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, at the Clubhouse

Spring is just around the corner, and that means it’s time for our popular annual Easter Egg Hunt. Join us at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, at the Clubhouse. (Yes, we know it usually is on a weekend, but our Clubhouse is packed with rentals this month, so we had to change things up this year.) Our FREE family-friendly event (weather permitting) is open to all residents’ children and grandchildren (ages 10 and younger). Candy-filled plastic eggs will be spread around the Playground area and Clubhouse front lawn. Participants should bring their own baskets. The scramble for eggs will begin at 5:30 p.m. sharp for our littlest Eagle Nesters (3 to 4 years old), then open up to older kids two to three minutes after that. The hunt is usually over in 10 minutes, so don’t show up late. As always, please use caution when entering and leaving the Clubhouse parking lot as little ones will be running around. If there’re rain overnight, be prepared to get a little muddy. If the day is a washout,...

A personal message from the Dixon family to donors of the GoFundMe house fire campaign

Image
A message from the Dixon family to those who have contributed to our neighborhood GoFundMe campaign: “We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support our family has received after the devastating fire that destroyed our home (on Tanager Lane). In a matter of moments we lost our house, two cars, and our two beloved dachshunds, and we are still trying to process it all. During such a heartbreaking time, the kindness and generosity from our friends, neighbors, and community has meant more to us than words can express. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared the GoFundMe link , sent messages, and offered help in so many ways. Your compassion is helping us begin the long process of rebuilding our lives. A special thank you to Eagle Nest HOA Board of Directors and President Scott Thien, who organized the fundraiser and rallied the community around us. We feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such caring people. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for lifting us up w...
