Pool hours of operation reduced to weekends only through Labor Day

Dear Eagle Nest residents, Now that summer is winding down and school is back in session, our Pool facility has seen a significant decrease in usage during weekdays. Most days our lifeguard staff (three staffers daily) would only see one or two patrons during the entire nine-hour shift. The Board simply can’t justify spending money on salaries for unused services like that. At present, the Pool is scheduled for closure for the season at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2 (Labor Day). If we encounter an unusually hot weather streak and guards are av...

Reminder: Eagle Nest Annual Party (with free lunch) today at Clubhouse!

Looking for lunch ideas? Come down to the Eagle Nest Annual Party at the Clubhouse, starting at 1 p.m. We’ll have free fried chicken, hot dogs, lemonade for the kids, beer for the adults, and the usual spectacular array of donated potluck salads, dips, desserts and more. Whether you’re a first-timer or a long-timer, everyone is welcome (and please bring something to fill out the menu). Our Pool staff will coordinate pool games for the kids from 2 to 2:30 p.m., so don’t forget your suit and towel (and Pool passes!) This years-running tradition is always well attended (did we mention free lunch!), so get there early and stay late. This is a great opportunity to meet new neighbors, reconnect with longtime residents and chat with Board members. The weather is great today, so come celebrate all the goodness that is Eagle Nest! Crime Watch meeting cancelled for Aug. 6

Eagle Nest residents, Due to unexpected staffing issues, the Crime Watch/National Night Out meeting set for Tuesday, August 6, has been cancelled. We apologize for the late notice. Despite the cancellation, we hope residents will continue the spirit of National Night Out by leaving their porch lights on in solidarity of our anti-crime efforts. Launched in 1984, National Night Out began as an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and alert criminals that neighborhoods like Eagle Nest are organized and fighting back. Today, National Night Out involves millions of neighbors in all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide. Our next Crime Watch meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, and will focus on preparing our homes for winter and any crime news that matters to our neighborhood. Please join us and learn how you can help Eagle Nest remain a safe, healthy neighborhood...
