Board Update, re: Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale, playground/courts open, food trucks, Board election

Hello, Eagle Nest residents. We hope your week is going well as we head into what looks to be a great weather weekend! A few neighborhood updates and reminders to pass along:

Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale: It’s Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (As tradition goes, neighbors are welcome to open their displays early on Thursday, if they choose.) Residents are encouraged to observe and maintain CDC social distancing guidelines during the sale.

Annual Meeting and Board Election: Next week, watch your U.S. mail for a reminder about the Annual Meeting on Monday, June 29, at the Clubhouse, as well as your official ballot for the Eagle Nest Board of Directors Election. All residents in good standing are welcome to attend the meeting; ballots need to be dropped in the Clubhouse mailbox by 6:30 p.m. that same day.

Food trucks: Our rotation of food vendors continues to be a success – thanks to all residents for supporting our partners. Who’s coming next: Jet’s Pizza on June 13; Union Jack on June 16; ChefTLC on June 30. This Saturday, Jet’s Pizza will have the usual $5 personal pizzas and a limited supply of $10 10-slice sausage or pepperoni pizzas for families. If you have food truck suggestions, please email scottthien@comcast.net.

Playground and sports courts: They’re now open for use! Given ongoing COVID-19 concerns, basketball court use should be limited to individuals – no team games – to limit physical contact. Also, please be courteous and keep the courts clean and free of debris. Take any garbage or plastic water bottles with you for proper disposal. The Board appreciate everyone’s patience on the minor delay to reopen.

Pool season: First off, we hope everyone is enjoying the pool! Thanks to everyone for your continued cooperation in presenting your pool tags upon entry, submitting the required waivers and observing the posted COVID-19 rules around the facility. Please observe all pool rules included with your tags (issued to all lots in good standing). If you didn’t receive your tags, contact Secretary/Bookkeeper Chris’e Van Meter at enpoa_sec@att.net. If you have questions about the facility, contact Pool Manager Samantha Burns at samanthaburns51@gmail.com or Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net.
