Pool closed for maintenance; reopening targeted for Sunday, July 3
The Board regrets to inform everyone that our Pool is closed for next few days as we work to drain and refill the facility improve our water quality. We know the timing isn't amazing with the holiday weekend approaching, but we can't change the laws of physics. As previously communicated in our dues letter issued earlier this year, our aging facility is growing increasingly problematic to maintain. This week was another example of our ongoing challenges. Last weekend, our main pump burned out due to system pressures. We quickly installed a new pump, and Tuesday we passed our weekly water quality test. Thursday, however, we had to close after a surprise inspection by the Marion County Health Department determined substandard water quality. In short, our existing chemical treatments were not effective without proper circulation. The solution: drain the pool halfway, then refill it with fresh water and rebalanced chemicals.
