Hello Eagle Nest residents, Here is the latest neighborhood news for the week of August 30: FINAL WEEK FOR POOL OPERATION – FUN LABOR DAY EVENTS! A reminder that that this is the final full week of operation for our community Pool. Hours are 4-8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The last day of operation will be Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6. Hours will be noon to 6 p.m., so join us for one last summer dip in the Pool! To celebrate the holiday, the Board is excited to announce the following events: NEW ALL-DOG SWIM: Here’s a family photo op you don’t want to miss: Bring your dog for a dip in Pool on Labor Day! That’s right, after our community Pool closes for the season at 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 6, pet owners are welcome to bring their furry family members for a swim in the main and baby wading pools, from 6 to 7 p.m. only. If you’re a Republic recycling customer, you probably are wondering why your yellow-top bin wasn’t emptied on Tuesday. And you’re not alone. Our entire neighborhood missed out on regular service collection this week. As you might expect, several residents have reported calling Republic to complain. One resident on Tanager Court was told by Republic that our pickup has been pushed to this Friday, August 20. Oddly enough, an Eagle Nest Board member also called Republic directly for answers, and she was told that Republic is two weeks behind schedule, and that Eagle Nest’s next service would be August 31. In short, we don’t have any definitive guidance on when recycling will be collected. But here’s what we suggest: Feel free to leave your recycling bin out through Friday, and if there’s no service please stow your cart out of view, per usual, until August 31. Hello Eagle Nest residents, Here is the latest neighborhood news for the week of August 9: CRIME WATCH MEETING FEATURES CITY OFFICIAL, SUMMIT PREVIEW, FOOD, DRAWINGS For those unable to attend, our August 3 Crime Watch meeting was notable on several fronts. First off, the event was the sixth consecutive time ENPOA was officially registered as a participant in the National Night Out, which brings our neighborhood together with residents across the country to observe anti-crime initiatives and safety best practices. Thank you to the passionate group of residents who turned out to share their concerns and suggestions for maintaining safety throughout our development. Your feedback and input will be carried forward and discussed at future Board meetings. Second, special thanks to featured guest Maria Wildridge, Director of Latino Services and Outreach for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. Due to unexpected equipment issues, Chef TLC had to cancel its stop to our neighborhood today. They apologize for the inconvenience, but as we all know sometimes things happen out of our control. Hello, Eagle Nest residents! A reminder that our Annual Party is noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, August 1, at the Clubhouse. Here is what we have lined up: FREE FOOD:  Fried chicken, salads, chips and desserts. Per tradition, residents are encouraged to donate a side and share recipes! FREE DRINKS:  Kids can enjoy lemonade and bottled water. Adults (21 and older) are welcome to a variety of canned Sun King beers. FREE TREATS:  Summer favorite Kona Ice will be on site from noon to 2 p.m. serving up free shaved ice snow cones for all. Best part is, you can add your own flavor from Kona's self-serve flavor station! A COOL POOL:  Don't forget to bring your swimsuit -- the Pool will be open from noon to 6 p.m. The water is calling!
