Dozens fill Clubhouse for first free weekly yoga class!

Image
Fantastic turnout for our first weekly yoga class on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Clubhouse! About 40 residents filled the main floor for a relaxing session of stretches and stances, led by certified instructor Deby Wilson. A random drawing for yoga mats and water bottles added to the fun. Great to see so many new and longtime residents come together as a healthy community! Missed out? Classes are free, 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. every Wednesday. Never tried yoga? No matter. Deby’s curriculum and structure is applicable to all ages and skill levels. Participants can engage at their own pace, no pressure, no judgment. Just community! Watch for a new signup link soon on Facebook and our blog site for the March 4 class. Don’t wait to sign up — classes are capped at 45 people (adults only) due to limited space and start on time. Questions? Contact our Social Committee Co-chairs   Marcella Kates  and  Sarah Craney ,  or Board President   Scott Thien . Namaste!

Residents safe after fire damages Tanager Lane home; Board launches GoFundMe page for family donations

Imagine waking up to the smell of smoke. And within hours, your house is burned beyond repair, nearly everything you own destroyed. That's what happened to the Dixon family at 7826 Tanager Lane. On Saturday morning, Feb. 21, a fire started in the garage and quickly spread throughout the home. Thankfully, John and Elizabeth escaped without injury but with only the clothes on their backs. Two of their four dogs didn't survive. The two-story home: likely a total loss. Now, the Eagle Nest Board hopes residents will help these neighbors in great need. Please, click here to donate to our GoFundMe page . Give whatever you can. No donation is too small. Share the GoFundMe link  and spread the word to your neighbo rs, friends, churches and other networks. Thank you in advance for your  generosity and support. Questions? Contact Board President Scott Thien at  scottthien@comcast.net .
