Hello, Eagle Nest residents! We hope the upcoming holiday season is everything you wish for and more. To kick things off, we have one last round of great social events for all ages. Save these December dates and join us at the Clubhouse: Dec. 3, 9 to 11 a.m.: Donuts, Juice and Coffee with Santa. That’s right, we’ll have Santa in-person at our Clubhouse, a return of a longtime Eagle Nest tradition for kids of all ages! Start your weekend morning off with donuts, juice, coffee and a chance to sit on Santa’s lap and share your holiday wish list. Take those precious family photos with the kids or grandchildren (or just you!) Don't stand in line at the mall to pay for a picture with Santa – it’s free at our Clubhouse. Due to a lacking number of registrants, the Chili Cook-off at the Clubhouse has been postponed, likely until February. We apologize for the late notice for those who planned to stop by, but we held registration open until the last minute in hopes of picking up more participants. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Please watch our Facebook page and blog site for a rescheduled date, possibly in conjunction with our popular Beerfest! Family Fun Night with S’mores, Friday, Oct. 28, at the Clubhouse Friday, Oct. 28, looks like a perfect fall night, so the Social Committee is hosting a Family Fun Night of s’mores for kids at the Clubhouse! That’s right, from 6 to 8 p.m. our little Eagle Nesters can make and toast their own chocolate and marshmallow treats (and adults can have a seasonal beer to help pass the time). More social events are coming to the Clubhouse, too: Nov. 6: Chili Cookoff and Colts Watch Party. Bring a crockpot of your best chili, win a gift card based on resident votes. October Clubhouse calendar full of social activities October is here, and that means a whole new month of Eagle Nest activities. Here’s what on tap this month at the Clubhouse: Oct. 6, 7-8 p.m.: Crime Watch meeting (crime-related trivia night, Crime Watch style)  Oct. 11, 6-8 p.m.: The Latin Flavor food truck (new resident favorite!) Oct. 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m.: Chef TLC food bus (our first food truck partner!) Oct. 25, 6-8 p.m.: Smokey Blue BBQ food truck (try those Thai ribs!) Hello, Eagle Nest residents, October may be just around the corner, but not before we close out September with a couple more food and drink events at the Clubhouse. What’s coming up: Sept. 20: Food truck Tuesday with Smokey Blue BBQ Yep, that’s right – the popular craft BBQ vendor will be back in Eagle Nest from 6-8 p.m. serving up a limited menu, so service should be quick. We’re talking pulled pork sandwiches and all the sides, including green beans with bacon, mac and cheese, loaded fries and street corn. Sorry, no burritos, but we’re sure you won’t leave disappointed. Start your mouth watering by checking their Facebook   and  Instagram pages, then let Smokey Blue BBQ do the cooking for you. Sad news: Due to scheduling pressures, The Latin Flavor food truck has canceled their visit to Eagle Nest on Tuesday, Sept. 13. Our vendor partner apologizes for the late notice. Good news is they are still on the books for Tuesday, Oct. 11. Coming next Tuesday: Smokey Blue BBQ, 6-8 p.m. See you there!  

LAST CALL FOR LAST SWIM: POOL SEASON ENDS LABOR DAY Sadly, all good things come to an end, including our 2022 Pool season. It’s been a great – and safe – run, thanks to our friendly and dedicated lifeguard staff and Pool Manager Samantha Burns. Except for two days, we have been open daily the entire season, a claim not all area pools can make because of staffing shortages (including the nearby city-operated Sahm Park Aquatics Center). But not Eagle Nest! So, as you take that last dip in the pool the Labor Day holiday weekend, please be sure to thank our pool staff for their hard work this year.
