New Eagle Nest Directories have been delivered

Image
Check your mailbox -- the 2022-23 Eagle Nest Directory has been delivered! Yes, we know it's a little later than usual, but sometimes life gets in the way for your all-volunteer Board. Nonetheless, we hope you find it a handy resource to get to know your neighbors. Please contact Chris’e Van Meter at enpoa_sec@att.net if you didn’t receive your copy. The Eagle Nest Board

Snow is coming -- keep the roads clear (Also, see our Santa Drive-thru photos and holiday lights winners!)

Image
As you probably know, a major winter storm is expected to hit Indianapolis on Thursday and Friday. Our plowing team is ready, but we need your help to keep our neighborhood safe: Please move your vehicles off the street so our contractors can do their best work. Plowed-in cars covered with mounds of ice and snow reduce sightlines and impede safe travel for residents. Please be considerate of your neighbors and comply with our safety request (or your vehicle risks being towed). Speaking of plowing, please be patient. Plowing for 419 homes takes time. Our primary goal is to clear the main drags for emergency vehicle access; courts may get one pass before getting finished later. Depending on the accumulation, plowing may wait until the storm ends. So, please, be patient. Problems or concerns? Contact Board President  Scott Thien  at scottthien@comcast.net 3rd Annual Santa Drive-thru a hit with families (photos!) POSTPONED: Chili Cook-off postponed until early 2023

Image
Due to a lacking number of registrants, the Chili Cook-off at the Clubhouse has been postponed, likely until February. We apologize for the late notice for those who planned to stop by, but we held registration open until the last minute in hopes of picking up more participants. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Please watch our Facebook page and blog site for a rescheduled date, possibly in conjunction with our popular Beerfest! In the meantime, we welcome volunteers to help organize neighborhood social events. Interested? Contact Social Chair Brigette Stephens at bestephens4@gmail.com

Family Fun Night with S’mores, Friday, Oct. 28, at the Clubhouse Friday, Oct. 28, looks like a perfect fall night, so the Social Committee is hosting a Family Fun Night of s’mores for kids at the Clubhouse! That’s right, from 6 to 8 p.m. our little Eagle Nesters can make and toast their own chocolate and marshmallow treats (and adults can have a seasonal beer to help pass the time). More social events are coming to the Clubhouse, too: Nov. 6: Chili Cookoff and Colts Watch Party. Bring a crockpot of your best chili, win a gift card based on resident votes. Tastings begin at noon, voting starts at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. Don’t want to enter? Don’t worry – just stop by for free samples of homecooked goodness, cast your vote and watch the Colts-Patriots game (chili event ends at halftime). Condiments like crack...
