Want a hand in neighborhood events?

The kids are going back to school, and Labor Day is approaching -- but that doesn't mean our Family Fun Nights have to end!

Our Social Committee did a fantastic job this summer organizing and sponsoring weeks of activities, including Marco's Pizza specials, a bounce house, cupcake night, a tie-dye event and our annual pool party. Hundreds of residents flocked to the Clubhouse for these first-time events -- and we're looking for ideas and help to keep the momentum going.

The goal, of course, is to create an engaging community atmosphere for families and fun ways to meet our neighbors. The hope is to expand our options to include seniors, young professionals and teens.

If you are interested in contributing ideas or volunteering your time to plan events, please attend the Social Committee's next planning meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 29 at the Clubhouse. The committee is open to anyone, it's free and a great way to become involved in the neighborhood.

Questions (or can't make the meeting but have a suggestion?), contact Social Committee members Angela Corkwell at angelacorkwell@yahoo.com or Kelly Wright at kellygwright@yahoo.com
