Jet's Pizza - July 28, Aug. 4, Aug. 11

July 28, Aug. 4, and Aug. 11 are the last three Thursdays that Jet's Pizza will sell pizzas at the clubhouse. They have pepperoni and sausage deep dish pizzas for the bargain price of $5.  Last week because of a thunderstorm, Jet's left early even though they had already sold 10 pizzas.  Previously we had planned if a thunderstorm came up that he could sell from the clubhouse entrance.  Last week this person did not have the phone numbers of board members who could open the entrance so he left early.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  If that happens again, he will have all the phone numbers needed so he should be there from 5:30-7:30.  Jet's Pizza wants to continue our relationship during Family Fun Nights so EAT UP!! submitted by Alice Miley

Crime Watch meeting August 2 with BRAG speaker, gift card drawings

Fellow Eagle Nest residents,   Join us Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Clubhouse for our quarterly Crime Watch meeting, featuring BRAG Crime Watch Coordinator Richard Strickland and a brief visit by an IMPD officer to answer any questions you may have about protecting your family and your home.   While Eagle Nest continues to set the standard for safety among surrounding neighborhoods, crime knows no boundaries. That’s why the Board has invited Strickland to share BRAG tips and trends about crime prevention, best safety practices and anti-crime news about our area.   As if that weren’t enough, the ENPOA Crime Watch is providing a dessert bar and a drawing for three $25 gifts cards. You also will have a chance to connect and network with other residents interested in maintaining the safety and security of our neighborhood. Lastly, find out about a unique -- and free -- opportunity to show your Crime Watch unity.   The event coincides with National Night Out, a nationwi

Jet's Pizza - July 21

Eagle Nest's Social committee had hoped to have a food truck come to the neighborhood as we have the past few years with the Dashboard Diner.  However, the Dashboard Diner changed their policy and wouldn't come to our neighborhood unless we could guarantee $1000 profit. Other food trucks, including local restaurant, Caplinger's, also need a guarantee of $1000.   So, instead of a food truck for this Thursday, July 21, Jet's Pizza has agreed to come from 5:30-7:30.  Jet's Pizza has been wonderful to work with, so please support them since they're helping us out.  $5 for a pepperoni or sausage deep dish pizza.  We want them to keep coming for Family Fun Nights at the pool.      Our next big neighborhood event will be the annual summer party at the pool on Sunday, Aug. 7, at 1 p.m.  The board will provide fried chicken and drinks, and you will supply the sides.   Make Thursday pizza night!! submitted by Alice Miley

Pool reopens at 3 p.m. today (07-20-16)

Eagle Nest residents, Thanks to the quick action of Pool Manager Susan Anderson and Barton Pool Company , our  Pool will reopen at 3 p.m. today. Our chemical treatments to address the cloudy water are working, which means our swimmers and our lifeguards can see the bottom of the pool now. The expectation is that by tomorrow we will have a completely clear pool. Thank you for your patience and understanding regarding or temporary closure this morning as we worked to rectify the problem. Enjoy the water on this hot summer day! The ENPOA Board

Pool to close part of Wednesday to chemically treat cloudy water

Fellow Eagle Nest residents, Due to a small algae bloom in our Pool, the facility will be closed Wednesday, July 20, in the morning until about 3 p.m. to give corrective chemical treatments time to work. Under the direction of our new pool company, our pool staff will be applying two treatments (overnight and in the morning) to combat the problem, as well as over-chlorinating the water to restore clarity. Despite the cloudy appearance, the water is safe to swim in, and the facility should remain open the rest of the day today. Unfortunately, algae blooms are common for outdoor pools, and the problem seems to resurface after heavy storms we usually experience this time of year. Lots of debris (seen and unseen) gets dumped into the pool (including tables and chairs vandals pitched in the water last week. Yes, we’re reviewing our security cameras), affecting the chemical balance and resulting in cloudy water. It doesn't help that we have an aging pool filtration system, either.
