Every year, judging for our annual Holiday Lights Contest gets tougher and tougher, and 2023 was no exception. This year’s challenge: sizing up more than 100 homes with lot decorations in a variety of colorful shapes, sizes and configurations, some traditional, some creative, all a colorful sign of season. Our independent judge from out-of-state (a former resident, no less!) struggled with all the choices, but after applying stringent judging criteria and washing it through our patented AI matrix, she came up with the following results: 1ST PLACE: 8250 Warbler Way (Tom and Cindy Corbett) Judge’s comment: "Last year's second-place finisher – and previous five-time winner – reclaims the top spot, though barely as competition was stiff all across the neighborhood. As many of you probably have heard, the Hernandez-Ramirez family home at 8104 Tanager Court, was extensively damaged by fire Sunday morning, Dec. 10. Thankfully, no one suffered serious injuries, which is remarkable given Indianapolis Fire Department reported that several children had to jump out of second-story windows into the arms of family members below. The cause of the blaze was not immediately available, but you can imagine the emotional and financial strain of such a catastrophe just two weeks before Christmas. To help the family buy clothes, personal items and get reestablished, the Board set up a Go Fund Me page, raising nearly $4,000 in one month!  Suffice to say, the family was extremely grateful for everyone's generosity in their time of need.  Some residents may recall the Board hosted a similar effort for residents whose home on Sandpiper Court burned in September 2020, and we raised an impressive $1,600. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.  Questio

In keeping with tradition, we’re excited to announce several holiday events for our neighborhood families to enjoy this month. Save these dates and plan to join us for: Sunday, Dec. 10 (1-3 p.m.): Cookies with Santa! That’s right, the jolly old guy and his wife Mrs. Claus are returning to the Clubhouse for our annual cookie-fest with chocolate milk for the kids, and Mimosas and coffee with Bailey’s for the adults. We’ll have tables set up for the kids to decorate their own cookies, too. This is the perfect chance to snap some holiday photos, share your wish list with Santa and meet other Eagle Next residents. This event keeps getting bigger and bigger, so don’t miss out! Wednesday, Dec. 20 (4-6 p.m.): Santa’s Neighborhood Drive-thru! As in years past, Santa will ride his sleigh (OK,
