Food Truck Tuesday (June 1): It's Chef TLC!

Hello Eagle Nest residents, Remember last year's food truck blitz at the Clubhouse? Good news – we took your requests and invited the best local vendors back for another summer. Kicking things off: ChefTLC, aka the Faith Food Bus, 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, at the Clubhouse . Their menu is full of crazy-good comfort food: pulled pork, burgers, steak and cheese sandwiches, grilled chicken wraps, even a meatless Beyond Burger. Great summer sides, too, including homemade pasta salad, macaroni salad and potato salad. Drinks include 24-ounce Faygo products, sweet tea and more. And dessert? Key Lime pie and Snicker pie. Remember, through September we'll have food trucks 5-7 p.m. every Tuesday and $5 pizzas from Jet's Pizza 5-7 p.m. every Thursday (starting June 3) at the Clubhouse! 5 things to know about Sunday’s Pool opening (May 30, 2021)

Hello Eagle Nest residents, The Eagle Nest event many have been waiting for is finally here! No, not the Indy 500 – we’re talking about the 2021 Pool season! Starting at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 30, residents in good standing are welcome to enjoy our neighborhood’s most popular amenity! Of course, the COVID-19 climate and general safety require special attention, so please keep these five things in mind: No. 1: COVID-19 restrictions. Per mandate of the Marion County Health Department, capacity inside the fence is 75 people so guards may need to limit entrants. In addition, masks are required when entering the bathrooms, and 6-foot social distancing must be observed around non-family. No masks while in the Pool (including the baby pool). Marion County is expected to lift these requirements in early June, but until then we must observe them or risk closure. Hello Eagle Nest residents, Here is a look at neighborhood news for the week of May 17: POOL SEASON IS ALMOST HERE – TWO WEEKS TO GO! With all that’s happened in the past year, we know residents couldn’t be more excited for the start of the 2021 Pool season. And it’s only two weeks away! At this writing, we’re targeting Memorial Day weekend to kick things off (weather permitting), but watch the blog and Facebook page for the official opening date. In the meantime, following are five things you need to know about the Pool this year: No. 1 -- COV ID-19 restrictions: Per mandate of the Marion County Health Department, our max capacity inside the fence is 50 people. That means our lifeguard staff may need to limit the number of people in the facility at one time. This is not negotiable, because the county could shut us down if we’re found to be in violation. TUESDAY, MAY 4 All residents are invited to attend Tuesday’s Crime Watch meeting at 7 p.m. at the Clubhouse. The main topic: effective ways to burglar-proof your home. Also, learn about a new city anti-crime initiative and why you should join the free network, and get the latest area crime stats (December to March) from BRAG (Binford Redevelopment and Growth Association). As always, we’ll have light snacks and beverages, as well as some exciting high-tech prizes you can use to improve your home safety. Questions?
