Note -- Annual Meeting date correction

Eagle Nest residents, Please note the date for the Annual Meeting listed in the letter and ballot recently mailed is incorrect. The meeting is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the Clubhouse. (The letter and ballot incorrectly state June 28). Hey, at least we had the time, day of week and location correct! Time is short, so please submit your ballot by 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Clubhouse mailbox, or join us for the meeting and deliver it in person. We apologize for the misstep and any confusion this may have caused. The Eagle Nest Board

About those utility yard flags from the AT&T fiber optic installation project ...

In April, ATT began a fiber optic cable project throughout our neighborhood, necessitating some lots to be marked with small utility flags. Now that the installation work is completed, the AT&T contractor leading the project told the Board that any remaining flags can be removed and discarded. The contractor also said repairs to disrupted landscaping, unfilled holes or dirt mounds will be addressed this month. No timetable was immediately available (probably because of the recent rainy weather), but if you have specific requests/complaints please contact AT&T contractor Shak Ali directly at sali@veritacorp.com . Jet's Pizza headlines Family Fun Nights every Thursday at the Clubhouse

Image
Get ready for some summer fun -- our Family Fun Nights (FFN) schedule has begun. Every Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m., our Social Committee will host a preferred food vendor or sponsor a family-oriented activity at the Clubhouse. We're happy to announce that Jet's Pizza will headline our FFNs, returning for a third season to sell personal-sized pizzas for just $5 apiece. Their selection includes cheese, pepperoni and sausage. Be sure to stop by every Thursday! Interested in helping out with the Social Committee? Please drop an email to Board Director Alice Miley at  alicemiley23@gmail.com and we'll get you plugged in. We're always on the hunt for food truck options or kid friendly activities, so your suggestions are welcome. The Eagle Nest Board

Be aware: Residents report dangerous encounter with jogger's pit bulls

Image
Eagle Nest residents, We want to make you aware of a violent incident involving a pair of pit bulls on May 31 in the south end of our neighborhood. About 8:45 p.m., two residents were walking their small dog on the sidewalk north along Teel Way near Tanager & Mallard when a jogger with a pair of loosely leashed pit bulls approached from the other direction. The pit bulls – one silver gray, the other a light caramel and white, and both 50 to 60 pounds each – noticed the smaller dog, and they broke loose from their handler and moved aggressively toward the residents and their dog. The resident immediately grabbed his pet and hoisted it high, at which time both pit bulls lunged at the resident, jumping and clawing at him, before they were pulled away. After the incident, the residents exchanged words with the jogger before continuing their walk, and the jogger went on her way with the pit bulls. A short time later, the jogger returned in a newer model, dark blue 4-door Subaru
