UPDATE: Pool open for Memorial Day

UPDATE 10 p.m.: Great news -- the Eagle Nest Pool will be open for use on Memorial Day! Our newly installed pump motor is running perfectly, thanks to the quick action of Pool Manager Susan Anderson and her industry contacts. Residents should find mostly clear water, but pool use might be limited to the shallow end if our lifeguard staff can't see the bottom of the deep end. It all depends on how much storm debris falls in the pool overnight and how quickly our filtration system can recover. The Board would like to thank all residents for their patience and understanding during this unexpected service delay. A shout-out and thank you also goes out to our Pool staff for scrambling to get our nearly 40-year-old facility up and running so quickly. We look forward to seeing you at the Pool this summer. All the best to you and your families this Memorial Day. Thanks, too, to all our veterans for their service and sacrifice this holiday. The Eagle Nest Board p.s. -- Reminder: No e

Pool season is almost here -- updates on tags, rules, swim lessons, key contacts

Fellow Eagle Nest residents, Memorial Day is quickly approaching, and that means the start of our swimming season at the neighborhood Pool soon will be upon us. In preparation, following are a few related updates: Pool tags: Pool tags will be mailed the week of May 22 to all residents in good standing at that point. That means, if you've paid your dues and don't have any property violations, you are welcome to use the Pool. But you have to have a tag. (Every household will receive their requested number of tags as indicated on the dues invoices mailed earlier this year.) No entry will be permitted without a tag, so please be sure all family members have one (or guests have a guest pass). Our lifeguards will be checking all patrons and will deny access to anyone who does not produce a tag. This is Board policy. Pool rules: Please read them. They exist for everyone's safety, and like pool tags they are not optional. Remember, this is a family facility, so no alcohol,
