Pool staff extends swim season to weekends only through September

Just in time for the recent heat wave and heavy humidity, the Eagle Nest Pool staff has announced extended hours past the traditional closing after Labor Day.

Pool Manager Susan Anderson says the pool will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 2, through Friday, Sept. 5, then reopen on weekends only through the rest of September. Hours will be:

> Saturdays (Sept. 6, 13, 20 and 27): from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
> Sundays (Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28: from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Per tradition, the first and last half hours will be reserved for adult swim on those days.

In the meantime, a reminder that the pool is the rest of this week through Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. only. Saturday, Aug. 30, through Monday, Sept. 1 (Labor Day), regular operating hours will be observed.

Lastly, the Board has received many compliments about the remodeled bathrooms, and we're glad the results have been well-received. A few reminders/requests from the Board:

> Please do your part to maintain the facilities by properly disposing of trash, and ensuring all faucets are turned off after use.
> The lockers in both bathrooms are provided for residents' convenience, but neither the Board nor the Pool staff is responsible for lost or stolen items from the lockers.
> Residents are welcome to lock their belongings in the lockers, but any padlocks left more than 24 hours will be cut off at owner's expense.

Thanks for your cooperation. The Board hopes everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!
