Board update: Dues letters in the mail, new format coming for directory, Beerfest and Chili Cookoff combined!

Annual dues invoices hitting the mail this week

The Eagle Nest Property Owners Association hopes everyone’s New Year is off to a happy and healthy start. Now that 2023 is well underway, it’s time to focus on expenses for the year ahead – and it starts with this year’s annual dues notice. The letter contains your total amount due, information about how to obtain your pool tags, and how a portion of your dues will be used for a long-term capital improvement.

Please watch your mailbox this week for your annual invoice. The deadline for payment is 5 p.m. May 1. If we have your email address on file, you will receive a weblink to pay electronically. If you choose this payment method and want pool tags, however, you still need to fill out the paper form mailed to you and drop it in the secure Clubhouse roadside mailbox by May 1.

Please make your check payable to ENPOA and mail it along with the completed Pool tags form on the back to Eagle Nest Property Owners Association, 8075 Teel Way, Indianapolis, IN 46256. Mailed correspondence must be postmarked by May 1 to avoid late fees. You also can drop your dues in the secure Clubhouse roadside mailbox by May 1. Dues received after that are considered late.

Questions about your balance due or don't receive an invoice by the end of the month? Contact Secretary/Admin Chris'e Van Meter at enpoa_sec@att.net.

Thank you in advance for your timely payment!

Board transitioning to app-based neighborhood directory

In an effort to protect residents’ personal information and reduce annual printing expenses, the Board voted at the January meeting to transition to an app-based neighborhood directory called DirectorySpot.

This mobile-friendly tool will be locked down to authorized users only – aka our current lot owners – and will provide basic resident contact information, lot account balances, event listings, neighborhood news and more.

The app also provides instant messaging capabilities, so the Board can send text and email alerts about safety issues, missing pets, solicitor warnings, and Pool and Clubhouse updates.

Some of you may have received an email invite to sign up, but please ignore that expired link as we were learning the platform during setup. More details about how to download the app and how to sign up will be mailed in the coming weeks.

Save the date: March 18 is new Beerfest and Chili Cookoff date!

That’s right, two of our most popular events – our Beerfest and Chili Cookoff -- are combined into one on Saturday, March 18. Bring a growler of your favorite local brew (OK, wine is permitted, if you insist) or a crockpot filled with your best chili recipe to share. Heck, bring both ... after all, it’s the weekend!

The top three best chili recipes based on resident taste-test votes will earn prizes, not to mention neighborhood bragging rights. Watch our blog site and Facebook page for an invite and registration link so we can plan accordingly. Get ready to drink up and/or and eat up! This is the rescheduled date after the original date was postponed last fall.

In the meantime, we welcome volunteers to help organize neighborhood social events. Interested? Contact Social Chair Brigette Stephens at bestephens4@gmail.com.

On behalf of the Eagle Nest Board,
Scott Thien, President
