Mark your calendars for Sunday, Aug. 13: It's our annual Neighborhood Pool Party at the Clubhouse, noon to 3 p.m.!

Yep, our longtime tradition is right around the corner, a summer bash you don't want to miss. Join us for free, delicious fried chicken and summer sides, courtesy of the Board, resident potluck dishes and desserts, lemonade, bottled water, pop, beer for the adults and tasty summer treats for the kids.

From noon to 2:30 p.m., the Board is treating every little Eagle Nester (OK, adults, too) to a free 8-ounce shaved ice cup from Kona Ice! And here’s the fun part: Everyone can pour on their favorite flavors from a wide range of self-serve choices. Simply show your Pool pass to get your freebie. (One cone per person, please.) Sunday’s forecast looks to be a toasty one, so enjoy those icy treats!


Oh, and don't forget our Pool -- the crown jewel of our neighborhood! Our guard staff looks forward to sharing the day with families! We'll be open from noon to 8 p.m.

Got a favorite family recipe to show off? Register your potluck dish and help make our annual pool party a tasty hit! We’re looking for a variety of dishes, so check the link to see who’s bringing what. All contributions and serving sizes welcome.

Dishes registered so far: macaroni and cheese, overnight layer salad, pasta salad, veggies and dip.

Desserts registered so far: brownies, and gluten-free treats.

The Board hopes everyone’s fall season is off to a great start. October is shaping up to be a busy month in Eagle Nest – read on! 2023 Curb Appeal Awards winners announced! The Board is proud to recognize the following lots as winners of our 2023 Curb Appeal Awards, presented to Eagle Nest owners for their outstanding lot and house maintenance. First place (tied): 8031 Teel Way , above left, (Lot 52, Clayton Napier) and 8111 Warbler Way , above right (Lot 229, Todd and Rokeena Williams).  Both homes underwent extensive exterior renovations in recent years, including new roofing, new siding, new paint, wood repair, landscaping and more (all pre-approved by the Rules and Restrictions Committee, by the way). The owners could have saved considerable money by moving to a newer home in another neighborhood, but they chose to stay and invest in their properties. Board Update, 05-22-23: Pool opening, tags in mail; annual Garage Sale; dues deadline June 1; Annual Meeting and Board Election June 15

Summer unofficially begins Memorial Day weekend, and that means our Pool facility will be opening for the season. Our main and wading pools have been power-washed and filled, and our guard team will be working to balance the chemicals this week. Weather permitting, we are targeting noon Sunday for opening, but watch the Eagle Nest blog and our Facebook page for the official day and time. For 2023, hours of operation will be noon to 8 p.m. daily. We have a great lifeguard team in place again this year. Their No. 1 charge? Safety. When it comes to rules, what our guard staff says goes. No exceptions. Violators will be ejected and referred to the Board for further action. Bottomline: This is a family-oriented neighborhood facility, not a public pool playhouse, and want to keep it enjoyable for all. Board update: Pool closing Labor Day, annual dog swim, Curb Appeal Awards, live music coming to Clubhouse!

Pool closes Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4  All good things come to and end, as the saying goes, and that includes our 2023 Pool season. Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4, is the last day of operation for our facility, with hours from noon to 8 p.m. It’s been a great summer of swimming, despite a few mechanical and staffing issues, so please be sure to thank Pool Manager Samantha Burns and her lifeguard staff for a job well done. For the most part, our facility was staffed and open daily the entire summer, unlike many of the city’s public pools – including nearby Sahm Park. We hope to see all our guards back next year, but if you know someone interested in joining the Eagle Nest Pool staff, please contact Samantha. In the meantime, enjoy these last days of swimming!
