Free Kona Ice treats on Memorial Day, 1 to 2 p.m. at the Clubhouse!


Breaking Eagle Nest news! Free Kona Ice treats are coming to the Clubhouse on Memorial Day!

That’s right -- from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday in the Clubhouse front parking lot, the Board is treating every little Eagle Nester (OK, adults, too) to a free 8-ounce shaved ice cup. And here’s the fun part: You can pour on your favorite flavors from a wide range of self-serve choices. Simply show your Pool fob to get your freebie. (One cup per person, please.)

We’ve invited Kona Ice to the Clubhouse before, and it was a huge hit among families. With temperatures expected near 70 degrees, this will be a tasty start to a fun afternoon at the Pool. Enjoy!

Each year, it gets harder and harder to pick the winners in the annual Holiday Lights Contest – and that’s a good thing. It’s so refreshing, uplifting and encouraging to see the spirit of the holidays on full display across the neighborhood, in big ways and small. This year’s panel of judges – a Board member’s relatives visiting from Florida and Belgium (no joke!) – were amazed by the effort so many homeowners put into decorating their lots and homes. Board Update: Pool Party with free food, new fob access, cleanup crew recap; Annual Garage Sale June 7-8; dues deadlines approaching and more!

Hello, Eagle Nesters! The Board hopes your spring is off to a great start. It’s hard to believe with all the cold, rainy weather of April that the Pool will be open in barely a month. In preparation for that, it’s time to share a few updates about the 2024 swim season: Nearly a dozen residents turn out to deep clean the Pool A huge thanks goes out to the volunteer team led by Bittern Lane residents John and Cindy Spicklemire for organizing a deep clean of Pool facility on Saturday, April 27. The team of 12 spent hours power washing the chairs to address years of sunblock stains and removing wall grime, while others pulled weeds, cleaned the tables and swept up debris. In return, the Board brought in Jimmy John’s sandwiches, chips and water to keep our cleaning crew fueled up. That was a small price to pay for what would have cost thousands of dollars in labor and time to hire a contractor to do the same work.
