City leaf pickup every Tuesday through Dec. 10

Fall is in full swing in Eagle Nest, and that means leaves, leaves and more leaves! Thankfully, the city of Indianapolis has us covered!

Now through Dec. 10, the city will collect up to 40 bags of leaves per household on our regular trash day (Tuesdays).

A few things to keep in mind:
  • Use plastic bags, as paper bags can deteriorate and break apart in inclement weather. (If paper bags break during pickup, collection crews won't clean up the mess.)
  • Keep bags at least 3 feet away from your trash cart for easy pickup.
  • Leaf bags should be outside by 7 a.m. on trash day.
In case you didn't know, burning leaves in Marion County is illegal and can result in a fine up to $2,500.

In addition, please be a good neighbor and help keep our storm drains clear of leaves and other debris to prevent drainage and flooding problems.
