Beware of "lookalike" social media site for Eagle Nest

Several residents recently have been contacted about a private social media website called "eaglenest.nextdoor.com" The site asks residents to create a user name and password and provide contact information to access a free portal for news, information, comments, crime reports, etc.

This is an independent effort led by a resident but NOT an official communications tool endorsed by the Eagle Nest Board of Directors. Residents are free to join if they like, of course, but ENPOA is not affiliated with nextdoor.com and cannot vouch or be held responsible for the content posted therein.

ENPOA is working to improve the longtime lack of communication in the neighborhood by incorporating several modern tools, namely social media (Facebook; click here for link), the internet (blog; click here for link) and email (electronic newsletter; To join, send your email address to Secretary/bookkeeper Chris'e Van Meter at enpoa_sec@att.net). We'd like to fully develop those tools before taking on any new products. We may join nextdoor.com at some point, but for now we're sticking with our three major outlets for official communications.

If you have thoughts/questions/concerns about ENPOA's communications, please feel free to contact ENPOA President Scott Thien at 902-3103 or at scottthien@comcast.net
