The following announcements were sent to the Eagle Nest Board for consideration by residents:
Flower sale: Mary Castle Elementary School is sponsoring its annual flower sale on Thursday, April 13. A variety of plants will be available, including bedding plants, vegetable plants, herbs and hanging baskets. All proceeds benefit the school. Organizers tout the event's convenience, low cost and wide selection of fuller, healthier plants than those found in area stores.
Orders must be placed by Friday, March 20, with pickup scheduled for Thursday, April 30 at the school. More information about the variety of plants offered can be found online at www.bloomingbiz.com. Binford Farmers Market: BRAG (Binford Redevelopment and Growth organization) is seeking donations to build a permanent storage barn at Lawrence North High School, the new permanent site of the Saturday Binford Farmers Market. Many Eagle Nest residents frequent and support the market during the spring and summer, and the barn would be used to house supplies in support of local and state food producers.
