Santa Drive-Thru draws dozens of families (See our photo gallery!)

It was a jolly good time during last weekend’s 2nd Annual Santa Neighborhood Drive-Thru. Santa and Mrs. Claus (aka residents Tom and Cindy Corbett) and their elf helper (aka resident Lindsey Dix Holmes) braved the cold weather for several hours making about 50 stops throughout the development.

Santa’s sleigh was in the repair shop getting ready for his big night out, so resident Jack O’Tain stepped up by lending his pickup – wrapped in Christmas lights and playing Christmas music – for the neighborhood tour. Dozens of families turned out for the candy toss, Santa selfies and plenty of laughs.

Thanks go out to all the residents who donated snacks, drinks and cleaning supplies in the Board’s neighborhood drive to support our nearby IMPD substation.

Santa was thankful for many homemade cookies handed out by residents, too, as well as the handwritten Christmas wish-list letters from kids — touching proof that the spirit of the holidays is alive and well.

The Board thanks all our volunteers (namely Santa coordinator Helen Galvin) and residents for making the afternoon such a memorable holiday event. The Board, Santa, Mrs. Claus, their elf and sleigh driver wish everyone a happy and health holiday season and a prosperous New Year!
